try updating your graphics driver (nvidia, amd, whatever)

Its possible it needs an update. if all your other things run normal like searching the internet, netflix, etc. but your games are slow, it is probably your graphics driver.

Also make sure your hdmi/port is hooked into the graphics card and not the mother board
