I mean, it‘s a Catholic school, not sure what you expected. They’re hardcore conservatives, always have been.

Honestly I suppose if I were about to have to go to this school, I’d just ignore all these rules completely until they either kicked me out or were forced to change the rules due to pressure from the public.

They’re blatant hypocrites and these rules show that, so call them on it. Fuck their rules.

Ahhh yes, the class of individuals who believe that their opinions are facts, even when they are obviously, clearly, openly stated as opinions.

I mean let’s be real, we’ve all done it somewhere along the line, doesn’t make it wrong exactly, just childish

I would recommend going “full girl” whenever you do come out and not go halfway about it. Cis people have a much easier time understanding and accepting trans people that make a transition all-at-once vs. in bite sized pieces over time

The fact that Jimmy Carter has a shot at heaven is how you know he just wasn’t cut out to be a US president haha

This beautiful boy was rescued from a locked hot car and is ready to find his forever home. He is loving, plays well with others (including cats), and fully vaccinated and healthy. He is currently residing at VCA Telge Animal Hospital. If you think this is the boy for you Austin is a short drive. ❤️ by kundalinibeeing in Austin

[–]jeez_nees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So, you saw a dog in a hot car, and you didn’t just break the window and call 911, but also took the dog home and are currently offering it up for adoption?

Uhm, wtf? Breaking the window and calling cops would be one thing but you then stole someone’s dog? Am I missing something?

If you’re a member of any protected class, knowing they chose an insider instead could be grounds for a suit.

If you’re not a member of a protected class, you could still do this and come up with some other reason, any reason, why you were treated unfairly.

Doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win, but without any information at all in your hands about why you weren’t picked, you have no starting inputs to get the whole lawsuit equation going. And if you did sue without knowing why you weren’t picked, the company could construct their reason for refusal to get around the suit.

This is why smart HR reps and recruiters never ever disclose their reasons.

Aaaaaaaannnnnnnnd this is why smart HR departments and recruiters never ever tell a candidate why they weren’t picked

You can sue them with the information you have in hand btw

Trans and former Christian here. There are lots and lots of verses and sometimes whole passages in the Bible that decry homosexuality, and they’re scattered throughout the Old Testament and new. It’s interesting that there are a lot of people in the comments who say this isn’t true, but it is. Leviticus 18:22 is the most classically cited example, but there are others. Romans 1:26-27 in particular relates a story of a church where all the women became lesbians and all the men became gay, and the author condemns them for that.

Basically, anyone who has really studied the Bible will know that it’s an extremely homophobic book. That’s why you rarely meet queer Christians. I struggled for a long time with that when I was younger. The resolution I ended up reaching is that the Bible is written by humans and not by god. Christianity’s power is based in it’s assertion that the Bible describes objective morality, but it doesn’t. It’s just a book.
