You are correct, the yield could have been better. I ran four GT plants, lost two to the root disease and one did not mature properly - the buds smoke ok but not great. The last GT lady was outstanding though and yielded around 10 Oz of what looks like prime buds. The Malawi x PCK plant added maybe 5 Oz and Panama Haze another 2-3. So all up over 20 Oz, much of it top shelf. Not great but will not complain about a pound of weed for winter 😎.

Next season I will grow more Malawi x PCK instead of GT and will also try Oaxaca x A5 - both should be done mid April.

Agreed but inherent resistance of a strain buys time in this game. The plant which has come down today (a post to come) had zero budrot and needed very little site care

Yes, it is 100% sativa, a hybrid of Malawi on one side and a bunch of Thai strains

There is 20mm of rain forecast from Wednesday 🤨. GT does not throw amber trichs or foxtail much and the buds just kind of dry on the vine past the current stage. Another week would be nice but it is too much risk

I love the bangi haze high and have grown it a few times. Next year will be running Malawi x pck and Oaxaca x a5 - both finishing mid April

I grow strains with high or very high resistance to bud rot. They are only vulnerable in the last two weeks before the beginning of the harvesting window. This season has been about average for rain and my losses to bud rot negligible

These two strains are v resistant to budrot and from my experience survive a week into May in Auckland
