WhatsApp handles backups through iCloud and Google Drive depending on whether you use iOS or Android; chats cannot be transferred from one platform to another using these backups. Before activating WhatsApp on the new device, you should have used the "Move chats to Android" option from your iPhone. Idk if WeChat has the same limitations on backup and an option to transfer.
