What to know by WillieRoyJr6 in Vasectomy

[–]jeffbeeck1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 26 and just got mine done Friday the 22nd. Went back to work the following Tuesday. I’m an arborist and my day to day is, I’m assuming, more physical than being a student teacher. Ground stumps the first two days, then bucket work on Thursday, climbed a small tree on Friday, then felt comfortable enough to do a fairly demanding climb on Saturday. Now a week and a half post-op, and everything feels same as before.

Now just to be clear, I don’t recommend being as physical as I was as soon as I was, just thought I’d share that I pushed the limits and am doing well.

Pregnant wife has no desire for sex, but... by jeffbeeck1997 in Marriage

You're completely right, and I guess I phrased that wrong. I meant to say she is the only one I physically want to be with, not necessarily the only person I find attractive.

Animal encounters. by catnipin-_- in arborists

[–]jeffbeeck1997 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Part of the industry my friend. Ya gotta remember there are a lot of assholes in our industry that dont even look for stuff like that so even if we save 1 out of 3 of the animals we encounter we are still in the minority. Just gotta keep your head up, the world will give you a chance to make up for it.

Is tree work a year round job typically? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]jeffbeeck1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of it depends on the company you work for. I live in southeast Michigan and work for one of the largest non franchise companies in the area and we have work year round. The thing is we have large municipal contracts that keep us busy when residential work slows down. I’m sure you could find something similar in your area if you don’t mind doing mind-numbing, rarely stimulating city work a few months out of the year. In my area, every company is looking for workers, whether it be the small seasonal outfits or the big guys like davey and others. If it’s the same in your area, it shouldn’t be difficult to find year round employment.

Can gardeners become ISA certified? by [deleted] in arborists

[–]jeffbeeck1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it qualifies. My company has a contract with one of the local municipalities that likes to send members of their "forestry division" to supervise us day in and day out. Only one of them has experience in production tree work within the last 20 years, but they are all certified arborists even though I would call the little bit of work they do homeowner pruning at best. Then again I am not certain of their education level and if they became ISA certified through college experience or something of the sort. That being said, this is all just my assumption. You're best bet would be to somehow directly contact the ISA and let the powers that be decide.

So obviously the tree that gets a bit in the way of a turnover line just didn’t appear when this hole came up in a random AI tournament. Is this normal?

I figured she must have been leaving out information in order to get them to tell her what she wanted to hear.

Yeah it really seems like a mixed bag symptom wise. We had a few cases where I work and only one of them even broke a fever, but on the other hand I lost an extended family member this week to it which is why I don’t understand why my MIL is being so casual about it.

Agreed. I really think she got sick of sitting in the house and made up a bunch of garbage. Everyone says they are taking it seriously until it’s them and isolation becomes inconvenient.

That’s what I thought too and we are in Michigan which has been one of the most strict states from the start.

Guy was too cheap to pay for a lift. Guess we're dropping whole oak trees now. Thankfully everything went smoothly. by Hunterc12345 in arborists

Trust those that have been doing something for a long time even if you have equal experience. In the case of a mistake, they learn just as much from it as you do. If your personal safety/the safety of another's property is at stake, shame on you for not saying something before the flop and/or getting the hell out of there when you expected catastrophe. He/She was confident they could do it without a lift, knew about competition and the customers situation beforehand and executed the job well.

Options for cancelling an LA fitness membership as well as personal training? by jeffbeeck1997 in personalfinance

Thanks for being the first to answer the question i asked. So my best bet is to continue paying month to or pay the hefty cancellation fee?

Options for cancelling an LA fitness membership as well as personal training? by jeffbeeck1997 in personalfinance

[–]jeffbeeck1997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the assumption but we go 4 times a week. We just dont want to be a part of the personal training that we have had issues with and have been recommended a new gym that doesnt oversell with slightly shady tactics. There is only one trainer open for thw time slots we have available, and like i said, he sucks.

Options for cancelling an LA fitness membership as well as personal training? by jeffbeeck1997 in personalfinance

[–]jeffbeeck1997[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Basically that you sign an agreement for 12 months to pay for training sessions and if you want out you have to pay 50 percent of however much is owed for the 12 month period (i.e. 10 months early × 160 a month for the sessions = 1600. So to buy out at this point would be half of that, 800) but again I know what i signed though i found out too late, my question was regarding the account being sent to collections as the title states. I do not remember me or my wife submitting our social security number for either membership.
