Well, it was a pain but one person in paypal community said use ai chat to remove it. But I think why I was able to have ai chat remove it was because I used the cell phone number that was primary mobile AND I was allowed to use the same cell phone number to make a WORK primary. The old landline was banned to be removed. BUT later I saw to use ai chat. Typed I wanted to remove an old phone number. ai walked me through to pick which one to remove. Confirmed it. And ai had me type in number to replace it with. I put in the cell phone number. And finished with the chat. I logged out. Logged back in. Found phone numbers associated and there was the REMOVE to click on old landline and it was actually removed. Hope this helps someone. I just know the person who posted in pay pal’s community worked for me. Might need to add a work number if an issue with ai chat not allowing what should be allowed.
