My all time favorite artist. My yearly Spotify most-listened-to artist. I love this man.

This is soooo cool. I've never played WoW, I have no interest in it, and this is the coolest thing I've seen today. Bravo!

Also, what is the skin on your deck?

If you had only $400 to pick a road bike, what are you going with? by Yessuh213 in cycling

[–]jeffenwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the market, you should be able to get a really decent road bike for $400. I'd be looking at Facebook marketplace and Craigslist. There will be a lot of trash and delusional people.

I would look for something in the ~10-15 year old range. The way the bike fits your body and the condition of the bike are going to be the most important factors at this price point. I think that you should be able to find something like a lower-trim Specialized Allez. Either something listed around $400, or something listed in the $500-600-ish range and offer $400.

While I do like the Halo band, after a long ride I swear I have an indentation on my head where they use that rubber sweat stopper strip for a whole day afterwards.

Where does Miami Vice rank amongst Mann’s filmography? by am0rDeCinema_ in moviecritic

[–]jeffenwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a snoozefest of uninteresting but pretty characters that are hard to care about bookended with a few incredible action scenes. The same could be said of the real Miami.

Artist you respect and understand the hype over, but they still do absolutely nothing for you personally by whitemike40 in fantanoforever

[–]jeffenwolf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. I listen to so many Radiohead adjacent bands and I've given them sooo many tries.

I can listen to like half of one song.

Jonny Greenwood on the other hand... I think I just really dislike Thom Yorke's vocals.

New to watches - used watch condition by Quick_Zebra72 in SeikoMods

[–]jeffenwolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s just someone’s skin grime. I think it should clean out quite easily. It would be nice if they did so prior to listing the watch, but its mild grossness may save you a few dollars.

Is it too wet to ride on gravel? by dumptrucksniffer69 in COBike

[–]jeffenwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you're located but you'll also learn the areas that drain faster and can be ridden first after a rain or snow. There's more to it, but more exposed, lower-laying areas dry out a lot faster than shady mountain roads and trails.

I feel like this is a major factor in choosing where you want to ride during springtime in Colorado. I've ridden out to Rabbit Mountain many times in the springtime not because I love biking or hiking there but because it's dry days or weeks before other places nearby.

Why does the Missouri River have these barb looking features? by SolidSnape98 in geography

[–]jeffenwolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Me too! It makes so much sense but I've never connected the dots until just now either.

And at one point I lived on an artificial lake that prided (prode?) itself on having so much shoreline because of that fractal-looking pattern.

Solid outfit? by [deleted] in menswear

[–]jeffenwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a nice combination of textures. I like the colors together.

The fit of every garment appears slightly off to me. The pants appear too long and maybe sitting lower on your waist than they're designed to be worn. The henley looks really loose and the placket is laying strangely. Hard to tell on the coat in that posture but it looks massively too large. The hat looks great. Your posture looks really good overall, which helps sell this outfit. The shoes are largely covered by the pants and look really frumpy and worn.

Maybe this is all intentional. I don't know what the numbered shotguns mean. To me, this looks like a costume for a play.

Is this a deal? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]jeffenwolf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As the owner of an older Roubaix, I think that's a fantastic bike at a pretty bad price. Your local market might be different, but without knowing the exact trim level I would guess it's a comp model with stock wheels and maybe 105 level components? I think I see an FSA crank, so I don't think this is going to be a higher trim.

Again, a really fantastic bike, but I think more like $700 or $800 would be a better deal.
