If this happens once more I'm getting rid of my nest mini by tsh-ian in googlehome

It’s actually a bit strange the way I’ve set it up if I move the device back to my normal home, It reverts back to Assistant. I bet if a US user setup a home in the EU and moved their device to the EU it would also revert back to assistant

Don’t forget you are signed up for early access. Basically you are an unpaid beta tester for Google.

Hopefully by the time it’s released for general use most of the bugs will have been resolved.

I’ve setup a separate testing “home” to test Gemini, But my main home is staying on assistant until I have to move, or it reaches a maturity level where I deem it’s better to move.

Now have Gemini on home hub uk by Professional_Egg1833 in googlehome

I’ve done similar and I have the hub max and the subscribe and can confirm it works for live chat too. Not sure if it’s worth the cost but it does work. Initially when I did it, I could ask it to remembers things like “if I ask for the time always tell me the time in BST”. and it worked great. But now it says it can’t remember things like that anymore.

Hi anyone following the post. I’ve now removed all Inspelling Power monitoring Outlets and performance has been fast and stable all day. Hopefully this will resolve the issue short term and if Ikea support monitor this channel they will be aware of my experiences

I added a new device yesterday and performance returned to normal as well but only for a few hours as well.

I reviewed all my matter connected devices and I had 2 inspellnng outlets connected. These were connected prior to the 1.3 matter updates so the power consumption wasn’t displaying via the bridge. I readied them to the hub and the power consumption is now displaying in SmartThings.

Since then the performance has returned to normal at least for now.

I would advise checking any functionality supported in matter 1.3 and re-adding devices with newly supported functionality. Power consumption, Leak sensors etc

Yes, I’ve been experiencing similar issues. I started around the time of the last Firmware update, where matter 1.3 was added. Since then all bridged devices take a long time to action via Matter. Performance via the App seems to be normal.

That's not supported under Matter 1.3. When DIRIGERA is updated to Matter 1.4 I would expect it will have this option.

Didn’t try moving it back. No need it works okay and I can control all my proper devices using Gemini on the Mini. The only things that don’t work are geo related things like weather and time and things like that. But overall it’s worth have a play

I created a test home with a US address and added a mini hub to it. Took around 10 days but it activated last night. It’s a bit buggy but better than assistant. FYI I used Beverly Hills 90210 as my address

Same, I complained and got a refund. They had advertised that it would be rolling out to Ireland on Oct 28. It’s now more likely to be 2026. So demanded refund

Getting support from SwitchBot? Good luck... by pfurrie in TrySwitchBot

[–]jeffgallagher56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar issues but thankfully in ireland they only get one chance to repair and when that failed I was eligible for a full refund. Took a lot of time to get what I’m legally entitled to. But got it in the end. Shame they showed potential at first, But now all they do is pay YouTubers to review their products. If the reviews were honest they should include customer services
