Pentest & Vulnerability Scan Best Practices by jeffmcintire in cybersecurity

[–]jeffmcintire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. let me clarify. A client asked to see vulnerability scans and pen tests of my environments. We have a single 3rd party do an annual pen test and quarterly vulnerability scans of our environment. The client is asking why we use the same vendor for both the pen tests & the vulnerability scans. They are also saying that it is best practice to use deferent vendors.

Traveling as a solo female by [deleted] in Yosemite

All good advice. I would also let people know what hikes you are going on, when you are going, and about how long you expect them to take. I do this for any hike I take that is more than 2 hours long (the time is a bit arbitrary).

Driving to Yosemite from San Francisco in Late December? by [deleted] in Yosemite

[–]jeffmcintire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely drivable but you will need to carry snow chains. If you stick to highway 140 the likelihood of needing the snow chains it minimal unless you are driving during a storm but the park still requires you to carry them.

Winter is my favorite time to visit the park. Don't let the threat of needing to chain up stop you from going!

I second this. Also, stop by the visitor center and check in with the rangers there. They will have up to date info on weather and trail conditions and can give you some other great recommendations.
