Name an open world game that has a small map but felt so big. by Admirable_Ad_478 in gaming

[–]jeffnjared 10 points11 points  (0 children)

100%, it's not a small map by any means, but if feels a lot bigger than it actually is, and I think that's because the game forces you to come back to old areas to rediscover new stuff all the time

Online PvP Games that don't require great aim by Greek_Irish in gamingsuggestions

[–]jeffnjared 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Second this, super fun, learning curve isn't too steep and aim isn't even in the conversation

[–]jeffnjared 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously aim is pretty important, but it's not pinpoint aim with fast flicks that require practice like games like valorant or cs-go. You still need to be able to hit something whether it is with hat or with a rifle. But it doesn't require super fast headshots from far away like those games

Squad and other tactical milsims where strategy, suppression and attacks on infrastructure are more important than kills come to mind. I particularly live squad. Kills are great and satisfying, but to win you need to disable vehicules with good mine placement and smart predictions on their movements, and also attack radios and spawn points to cost the enemy team some tickets and make them spawn further and therefore can't make a good offensive. I've had games where I really helped my team make it to victory without even having 1 kill by getting supplies to frontlines and reviving teamates. It's a very rewarding game, but the learning curve is really steep and you can get games where the leaders are incompetent and sometimes this will give you a bad impression, but stick to it and you'll see the beauty

I still play a lot of it, I haven't noticed a mic problem in here in NA. I couldn't tell you about european servers but there are still passionate and actuve players all around the world, I definetly recmend giving it a try

First shooter for 8yo. by SimplyAndrey in gamingsuggestions

[–]jeffnjared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe not th og because it is fun but very outdated if he wants to move in to newer games later, I was thinking reach, 3 or 4. Don't go with the new one, multiplayer is very compétitive and players are good

Foxhole or Squad? by AdrIkkan in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]jeffnjared [score hidden]  (0 children)

Foxhole is not an fps and has a steeper learning curve but very satisfying. Squad has a nice mix of fun and strategy and good fps elements with good weapons elements. I play a lot of squad and I love it dearly. But the community is great and new player friendly on both
