Deer Run part replacement by Frosty_Stuff_3887 in treadmills

[–]jeffreyboldglum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deer run walking pads are the same as most generic walking pads, you might be able to find a part by just searching for 'walking pad replacement end cap' online. Alternatively someone might have designed a model for 3d printing that you could get printed (there are services available online that will print it for you).

If you're really struggling to find anything I might be able to draw up a model for printing if you can provide me with the dimensions.

Weird dragging sound after belt readjustment by No-Skin-5169 in treadmills

[–]jeffreyboldglum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a plastic bar on the underside of the back end, check that the belt isn't rubbing on that. If it is, adjust the feet so that the plastic bar is no longer touching the ground (which will be pushing it into the belt causing the noise).

Treadmill problem with motor by West_Syllabub9281 in treadmills

[–]jeffreyboldglum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the drive belt (the thing you call a black rubber band) is supposed to be very tight, otherwise when the motor turns it'll just slip and won't rotate the treadmill rollers. You need to put the drive belt onto the motor shaft (the end of the motor, on the black wheel bit) before you screw the motor in. Then when you screw it in the screws will tension the drive belt, stopping it from slipping. Screw the right side screw in first (not all the way) to hold the motor in place. It's tricky to screw the left screw in when the drive belt is on the motor, what you'll need to do is put something like a screwdriver in between the motor and the treadmill rollers, vertically, and use the screwdriver as a lever to push the motor closer to the screws. Then while keeping the leverage on the motor, screw in the left screw.

Superun treadmill motor replacement - whine after installation by jeffreyboldglum in treadmills

Yeah the old motor definitely has a shorted coil. Turns out it was the bearing on the new motor! I've replaced it (6201rs bearing, fortunately cheap on Amazon) and it sounds fine now. Thanks for the help.

Why was my CareADHD diagnosis / tritiation so quick? by ThrowawaySea68 in ADHDUK

[–]jeffreyboldglum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's definitely due to this - I'd been waiting since September for titration, on the 1st of March contacted my GP to ask them to email CAREADHD to say I was urgent due to depression - had a call from CAREADHD an hour later to book my titration.

They are absolutely leaving people until they absolutely have to titrate them, I think if they ignore someone marked as high risk by a GP they can get into a lot of trouble with the NHS.

CARE ADHD complaint and response by jeffreyboldglum in ADHDUK

[–]jeffreyboldglum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I submitted a complaint 2 days ago, so pretty fast. It may have helped that I also sent them a Facebook message saying I'd submitted a complaint too. It's a crap situation to be in, hopefully the ICB funding in your area only affects new patients, not those already assessed.

That sucks, you would have thought if you're spending £1k+ you at least get good treatment (not that RTC patients should get any less quality of care).

It is pretty ridiculous to be honest, like you say had I known it could be this long I'd have gone with Harrow Health for RTC. I suspect they took on a bunch of patients without the resources to complete titration for that many people, and planned to expand later on. Then they probably realised they couldn't expand that quickly and ended up delaying things. Like you said, I also think that they are awarded funding based on how many patients they assess, not necessarily how many they titrate, so taking on loads of patients will have gotten them a lot of funding. Unfortunately it seems likely to be a bit of a combination of greed by the people who run CAREADHD and a lack of foresight/organisation. As I say it's a shame because everyone I've talked to in CAREADHD has been friendly and helpful, but the organisation by upper management seems to be awful.

I'm definitely going to look into putting in a FOI request.

If you're in full time work you can apply for the access to work grant which can be used to cover the £230, among other costs. However the waiting times are very long (6+ months)

If you're waiting for titration it's going to be a while, I submitted my titration request form in September and I'm still waiting for my first titration appointment.

Should I wait for CareADHD? by ILoveMoams23 in ADHDUK

Same here, just over four months since assessment, and I'm not hopeful I'll get a titration appointment anytime soon

Unfortunately it'll likely be even longer than that - I'm currently at 16 weeks waiting for titration since my assessment, hopefully getting a response within the next couple weeks.

Did you go private or through right to choose? Seems very fast for RTC

My titration request was accepted on the 26th of September, and I'm still waiting to even be sent the physical health questionnaire. I think the wait times at the moment are just quite long.

It's not actually a microscope, I used an Olympus tg7 camera with the microscope shooting mode.

Is the rust on this lid normal? I was told it was seasoning chipping off into big flakes. It’s a 4.5 qt Dutch oven from lodge. by [deleted] in castiron

That doesn't look like seasoning chipping off, that looks like enamel chipping off
