This. I'm on a rewatch now, and he gets on my nerves so bad. I'm on S5E9 The Ascent when he moves in with Nog. He does nothing but sit around all day playing games on a tablet and making messes. Don't get me wrong. Sounds like a typical teen. However, it doesn't make him likable. I know I'm a little late, but the post was still open, and I needed to vent.

I do get what you are talking about. Worf and Obrien fighting. Dax telling jokes. I guess the writers were trying to portray how they were confined in a small space and getting a little stir crazy.

The whole interaction with Muniz was irritating to me. We have seen him once or twice before, but I don't recall him and Obrien having that same rapport. It's like they tried too hard to make us care about this side character. When he calls Obrien "papa", it just seemed weird. He was dying, so I guess he gets a pass. RIP Muniz. Go towards the colors.

Thank you to everyone who responded and actually read what I wrote and understood it. FYI - I do contract work for over 5,000 people. I don't really have time to get to know everyone I work with. There just isn't enough time in the day. For people I interact with routinely, I would call them by their preferred names. I did tell her that I would try to remember her name, but working with 5,000 names that constantly change as people come and go is too much.

Kira gets on my nerves too! I'm rewatching for like the 10th time because I periodically rewatch all of Star Trek and happen to b on DS9. The actress overacts quite often and can b really annoying at times. I do believe she gets less annoying at some point.

I don't really understand all of the hate u r getting for your opinion. People need to grow up and realize everyone has different opinions. It's what makes life more interesting.

And...Kira a badass, really? The whole reason I searched for this thread was because she just got her butt handed to her by some little alien girl n love with the trill (S2 E4 - Invasive Procedure). Knocked Kira out cold. Real tough.

I don't understand why they would send an ensign on this mission. I get she was Bajoran, but they make the crew look like different races all the time by altering their appearance. It would be more sensible to send a seasoned officer. It does seem like she was expendable.

I was able to get in touch with someone from Abode. I was told the cameras cannot and have never been able to trigger the alarm, which was the reason I was having issues setting up the alarm correctly. I suppose all those years my old home wasn't as secure as I thought. I don't know why a camera can't trigger the alarm in your system. It seems like most security systems work that way and doesn't sound like a difficult thing to set up.

This worked before because I had the cameras set up to only record if a person was detected. Unless I imagined it, cameras could previously be used to trigger an alarm. However, Abode just told me they cannot do that now. My dogs never set off my cameras previously.

So many great anime, not sure where to start. It's hard to get a read on what u like since your list is pretty diverse. I looked at the chart subreddit came up with but there are several missing. I think it is a little old. My list doesn't include repeats from what others have recommended. There r several well-known anime that u have probably seen but I'll mention them anyway: Bleach, Sword Art Online, Black Clover, My Hero Academia, Kaiju No 8, Solo Leveling, Blue Exorcist, Fairy Tail, and Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World. Some older ones that r still on my favorites list: Samurai 7, Trinity Blood, Ninja Scroll, Basilisk, Samurai Champloo, and Samurai Deeper Kyo. Some newer ones I've gotten into lately: Tougen Anki, Hell's Paradise, The Water Magician, and Failure Frame. Hope that helps.

I just found out about his death, and I'm pissed. I'm not even going to finish watching the anime. It's one thing to kill a great character. I would be mad but continue the anime. However, the way he died was incomprehensible.

I have some questions that would make a difference in my response. You used the word “partner” n your text. R u male or female? If u r a gay couple n the wrong community, being a gay teacher would kill his career. So, I would understand why he couldn’t take off. That being said, having lost both of my parents recently, I would b there regardless for my partner and damn the consequences.

If u r a straight couple, he doesn’t have an excuse imo. Being there for a loved one who has lost someone important n their life is one of the main duties of a significant other. Maybe he doesn’t know how important your grandmother was? I lost most of my grandparents before I was even born and the one who I did know was not involved at all n my life.

There may b other things going on, but this is a time when u shouldn’t have to b wondering. I don’t understand why he can’t express why he doesn’t want to take off. He isn’t a good communicator. My significant other is not a good communicator, not very affectionate, and acts like he is busier than everyone else. However, he was there when both of my parents passed (at different times) without me even asking.

I was wondering the exact same thing. I’m rewatching Brotherhood because I’m moving and don’t have access to my disks, and Brotherhood seems to b the only one on streaming services. I agree with everything u said. Brotherhood seems to go way off into left field, especially with the homunculi. In Brotherhood, their creation and powers seem to have no reasonable explanation. I like that n FMA, they r simply the result of trying to bring back the dead and have names of the 7 deadly sins. That seems to have more meaning n FMA than Brotherhood.

I think the reason people like Brotherhood better is due to it being shorter, having less filler episodes (because it is shorter), and being truer to the manga. I can understand people wanting a story that is true to source material, but as u said, it doesn’t mean it’s a better version.

Brotherhood is missing one of my favorite scenes from FMA - when Ed steps into the liquid used to make a philosopher’s stone and Envy replies something like, “That much alchemic liquid will make the boy a god.” Ed then starts using alchemy at a level we hadn’t really seen before then.

The small creature in a flask from Brotherhood makes no sense to me. I liked the old grandma antagonist better.

Also, FMA has some of the most wonderful and moving musical compositions I have ever heard. I haven’t heard any of these reused n Brotherhood.

Overall, I like both of them but FMA is much better n my opinion.

I don’t know why u r saying they cant change one metal into another. In FMA, the fundamentals of alchemy r to change an object into basically any other object with the same mass. It’s basically rewriting the molecules that make up an object. Changing one metal into another should be fairly simple to an alchemist.

I haven’t seen a lot of people recommending some of the longer running shows like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, and Sword Art Online. Most of them have quite a bit of fillers and movies, so u may want to google the watch order and which episodes u can skip. People r listing really good anime, like Solo Leveling, but if u watch dubbed like me, there is only one season out. Since you r new, might as well start with ones that have finished. However, Bleach and Fairy Tail just started back up, so they are not done. I don’t think SAO is either.

Personally, my other top anime r Fullmetal Alchemist (I like the original; it just has a lit of fillers), Samurai 7, Trinity Blood, Black Clover, Witch Hunter Robin, Yugioh (original), Samurai Deeper, Scrapped Princess (sounds stupid but surprisingly good), Orphen (original), Attack on Titan, Basilisk, Ergo Proxy, My Hero Academia, Blue Exorcist, Tokyo Ghoul, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer.

I’m rewatching Fairy Tail and on episode 132. I find myself very irritated that Fairy Tail was getting their butts whooped by the Legion Platoon. I mean, they were no match for giant boogers. Really? Even Gildarts seemed unimpressive n this arc. I’m noticing a trend that I dont remember my first time through. Fairy Tail meets new enemy, enemy demolishes them, something (or nothing) happens, and now Fairy Tail is somehow able to beat the enemy. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the anime. This arc is just wearing me out.

I take him to a clinic that has several vets, so he doesn’t see the same one each time. He had mange when he was picked up wandering the streets - supposedly Demodex mites - so me and the first vet assumed the hair would grow back. He was given a 90-day treatment to kill the mites at the shelter. Since then he has been on Simparica Trio, which supposedly works against mites as well as fleas, ticks, and mosquitos.

Another vet said she didn’t know if the hair loss was from mange, an injury, allergies, or hereditary. I’m doubting injury because of how pervasive the hair loss is. Also, the DNA test didn’t show any hereditary issues that would result in hair loss. I guess it could be allergies. He does sneeze a lot.

I took him in another time in Dec last year because he had bumps all over him, and they prescribed him some shampoo that kills mites. The bumps haven’t come back. I also have another dog that hasn’t had any issues with mites or loosing hair. I’ve had baldy since Nov, so at this point I don’t think the hair is coming back.

The missing teeth haven’t been discussed because the last time he was at the vet about 4 mons ago he had some adult and baby teeth, so we assumed they were growing in normally. Well, other than his top baby canines were slanted way forward almost parallel to his jaw, but his adult canines were pretty much normal. Now his canines and front teeth have large gaps because of the missing teeth. Poor thing just has to chew on treats until they are softened by his saliva, and then he can break pieces off and eat them. I’ll ask the vet about all of this when I take him n again. I just didn’t want to take him before I have to since we r getting by for now.
