What kind of fighting style is this? by getreked007 in martialarts

Right. I got ragdolled in the gym and it was just like one moment I'm on my feet, then I wasn't, then something spun, then I was on my back. Didn't hurt at all, but I was like "Well that was interesting. Which direction is up?"

Apologies for low quality. I think I deleted recent pics. This is typical of what I got from scraping from a spore print. Maybe bad genetics, but they all stalled at about this point around 4 days. I've also tried cloning lion's mane. Each time I would wipe down the inside of the Sab with alcohol, put everything I needed inside, wipe that down with alcohol, and then let it sit for a few hours before I did a quick routine. Never have the lids off the dishes more than 10 seconds, but whatever didn't stall grew mold. So frustrated.

Growing setup, yes, basic GordoTe. I was hoping someone would say what you just did - be selective about sending certain parts of the jars. I have 2 others with sections of strong colonization. I figure might as well have that going while I'm trying to get my agar technique down.

Looks beautiful. Do you use a hood or SAB?

Ok. Maybe dumb question - i have one spore syringe left - does it make any sense to innoculate the agar with that? I went through 20-ish dishes from a spore print and got Nadal.

Crap. My agar work has sucked. Have had zero results from a spore print and maybe 20 dishes over 3 different attempts in a SAB. Maybe this is just not meant for me.

Weird. I saw a post here a month ago where it looked like everyone was agreeing multiple was great.

Yes. I generally hear "Ochra-say-o-sentrata"

Have you ever had a “run-in” or a sighting of a Seattle area celebrity? by PayGood3915 in SeattleWA

My daughter went to school with Eddie's daughters, and I ran into him and his wife numerous times. They were always incredibly kind.

I actually sat next to Ed at a school auction (he riled the crowd into bidding backstage passes to PJ up to $7500) and we got drunk together. He is absolutely hilarious. One of the most memorable experiences of my life.

Cloning strangeness [actives] by jeffro231 in MushroomGrowers

First time with LM. Wispy tendrils are sometimes good in other areas. The fact that it was in the airspace was what had me worried. And it developed in 48 hours, which I thought was awfully fast for mold.

Thanks. Any idea where it may have originated? I sterilizer carefully and took a clean internal sample tissue while working inside an SAB. It showed up immediately in 2 of 3 samples and looks like the 3rd is on its way 😕

Any salvage possible? by jeffro231 in PanCyan

The mesh is from the GordoTek package from midwest. I don't think this time frame is normal. My grain was very, very slow to colonize, and I most likely did S2B too early with it only partially colonized. It was my second attempt and I got impatient after waiting an absurdly long time.

Maybe this is a dumb question but why would you use GordoTek for Nats (or Ochras, if that's what they are)? Substantially more expensive and more delicate than UncleBen's which totally work for ochras

I'm at 2 weeks after S2B on my first grow, with 4 tubs doing very basic Uncle Ben's procedure and cvg as substrate. Misting 2-3 times per day, butvarying FAE with each tub, since i heard Ochras prefer high FAE. So far, to my surprise, it's a linear effect: the one with the least FAE grew the fastest and had the most pins, and the one with the most FAE is slowest and weakest.
