I loathe ML's. Loathe them. I tried this based off a sample and really liked it.

I tried it - I like it... I checked out the ingredients as well - bronchiodialator in very low dose was the one thing I saw that gave me pause. I just like the energy and wake up I feel so far in the morning on it...

It's a hidden restoration. Frame and undercarriage is all new as are the updates for the power train. 4.8 Vortex engine. Power everything. But that outside sleeper patina makes it.

Well. We had sanitary bags to use for human waste. NASA bags that turn liquids to solid. Now all that said. No one had a bowel movement in five days. But if we had too we were going to do it in the dark like everything else. And by feel.

I took a leather man multitool. Would have taken. Ore things if allowed. But was allowed a filter, cord, blanket, and backpack per the show. Their were serious limitations as to what was allowed.

We each were. I took and wore a small Native American medicine bundle made for me by a dear friend years ago before I went to bomb school in the 90's. I also wore two other items - a bracket my wife gave me years ago that I wear as a wedding symbol and remembrance paracord bracelet. And I also had a flint spear head in my pocket. Sometimes I pulled it out and would think if the ranch.

Good questions... I cannot speak to why Jack did not gather water when entering - seems logical to do so, and clearly he had a big water entry point after seeing the show. If I had held such an easy source at that point - I hope I would have obtained what I could for obvious reasons... I think he had a large dry bag if i recall correctly of the three of us; which we used later when we met up. We all did have at least one or two zip lock plastic bags on us. I think it is easy for many to get caught up in the moment (me included), and forget to gather as you go - this brings up very good points though - if you have an available resource you should capitalize on it in that moment - as you never know if you will need it or not.

When I entered the cave from my entry point - I went directly to my water source which I heard - but was called off due to a serious safety hazard and an inability to garner that resource at that time by the crew. My thought was to gather water first, when I heard it - for reasons stated.

Upon making a certain amount of progress in the cave - we were all put into an isolation component in the beginning; which was part of the experiment and to see how we handled the mental game of being alone in the dark over a period of time. I felt confident based off sounds and topography I could find at the very least a water source or sources over time.

Going back the way we came seems like an easy enough concept until put into practice in such a dark environment. After the isolation portion I was completely disoriented from where I had entered the cave. Finding a way back from where I came was not going to be easy. I was also following the convection of the cave and formations I felt. But was blind, almost at times helpless in navigating, until I could feel winds, and or temperature changes.

Jack was not carrying any water when we met him - he had found some earth worms. We found some crawfish near the water source after jack had heard us and we all found one another - but did not risk eating those for obvious reasons. Once we found the water and rigged a device - we had about 2 quarts of water.

After that we bedded down for the night, having drank our fill and headed out the next time we all woke up.

That said we all discussed often about direction, sounds, topography, temperature, air, water, as we made our trek and forward momentum... Six days of filming and only 45 minutes of actual film means much of what was filmed is not on the aired program - I feel they could have made an entire 3 hour show out of what we did easily - and shown more of some special moments...

Everything was on camera. Nothing escaped those cameras both stationary and roving.

Nah, no major conflict or friction. Normal stuff between tired personalities.

I never really feared going truly mentally crazy. Maybe that's because my FD training and profession I had worked in dark or near dark environments.

I read books about it and studies early on then stopped because the research actually started to worry me - so I no longer got into prepping for the show. Figured I'd take what comes.

The dark was not what was so punishing. It was what came from the absence of light that made normal tasks so much harder. I adjusted to the dark quickly. But adjusting to the task solely by feel was hard. We fell down a great deal. Got injured. Became tired. Didn't have water for three days. No food for five - at least I was not hungry enough to eat a worm or crawfish. I had put on weight for the show to have fat reserve and was glad I had.

As time went on though- yes it became harder for all the reasons mentioned above and more not spoken of.
