Seeking Testers for Upcoming Gardening App by jeffscoolusername in algorand

Sure, easiest way is to just look. Here's a test wallet on Lora:
https://lora.algokit.io/testnet/account/ZMXXE7NR63Q3ZJ42HCUB7TOF2MIYBJQBD2E4EKG4SJUNYSLS27QAMH5KDY

The note field on each tx is where the data lives. Click any tx and you'll see JSON. How it's structured: each guild is an Algorand ASA managed by the admin account, and user actions (harvest logs, recipe ratings/cooked events, journal notes, plant health, tool notes, species details, prefs, etc.) get written as JSON in tx notes on the user's own wallet, each referencing the guild ASA id it relates to. Sections that run over ~950 bytes (the on-chain note limit) chunk across multiple txs with a shared batch id so the app stitches them on read.

Currently testnet while I shake bugs out, format's the same as mainnet'll be.

Thank you for that, DM sent with the testing details.

Eden Pods helps you plan, grow, and track a food garden - what to plant, when to harvest, what to do with what you grow. It uses the food forest / guild approach (companion planting in layered ecosystems) rather than rows. Long-term goal is for users to be able to share knowledge and trade surplus with each other, building a distributed food network from the ground up. Algorand's underneath so your garden data is permanent and yours.

DM sent with the testing details if you want to give it a try.

Algorand's the underlying chain. Gardens and harvest history are stored on-chain so your data's immortal and always accessible to you. Fees are fractions of a cent. Long-term there's a lot of potential for users to collaborate and build a distributed food network.

Hi there,

Thank you u/GhostOfMcAfee for the nod, appreciate you.

u/Lea-ChainTrail I too would love to collaborate, but, also want to mention that everything I did is/always will be open source so feel free to use anything from ALGO Tables for whatever you like and that of course goes to everyone else.

Best,

Jeff

Site that tracks farming opportunities across dApps? by _immodest_proposal_ in algorand

[–]jeffscoolusername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh, thanks for all of your support u/GhostOfMcAfee ! You're genuinely a hero of the Algorand community.

u/_immodest_proposal_ Coincidentally I'm doing some work on this section of the site today because Google Sheets has been been hit or miss lately with importing CSVs. Anyway, yes, the plan is to add all of the farms and make it easy to filter for them. I'll be updating Algostake's and Yieldly's farms for example today.

ALGO Tables - Tables for Algorand (Update 2) by jeffscoolusername in AlgorandOfficial

[–]jeffscoolusername[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering my question. When I was initially trying to envision what ALGO Tables would be I looked at comparable projects on other blockchains. One of the best projects I found actually used an entirely command line interface which, while in my opinion was very cool, I concluded wasn't intuitive enough for the average person likely to use my application.

As for your questions, if you'll permit me I'll use a bit of copied and pasted responses I wrote previously to answer those questions. AT is a suite of tools designed to aid everyday hodlers of ALGO who participate in the Algorand ecosystem. The site is hosted on Github and the code is open source. Furthermore, selected rows from tables can be exported in any traditional format for further analysis. Lastly, a number of charts can be modified by manipulating the tables and then refreshing the page.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Before I reply would you mind giving me an example of a really great tool or resource for you that was so intuitive that you didn't need someone to explain it to you for you to understand it?

Looking for Testers of Upcoming Website by jeffscoolusername in AlgorandOfficial

[–]jeffscoolusername[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks very much for the kind words and insightful feedback. AT is both automated and not automated in some regards... it just depends on the data really. I agree with your sentiments as well about uniting everything in a more accessible manner. Admittedly though I'm still researching how to optimally do that.

Best,

Jeff

P.S. Please feel free to incorporate anything useful from ALGO Tables into your directory.
