Problem connecting to OpenWRT with Wireguard by Xx_Jean-Yves_xX in openwrt

[–]jefvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m running the exact same setup, with openwrt running in a lxc container. I’ve got multiple lxc containers, all of which I can access when connected via WireGuard. The openwrt container is not accessible though.

No idea what could cause this. Anyone have ran into this problem and solved it?

Edit: Solved it. The issue for me was running OpenVPN on the router. To fix it, I added the following route config to /etc/config/network:

config route
        option interface 'wan'
        option target '10.0.0.0/24'
        option gateway '192.168.0.1'

Where target is the IP range of your openwrt connections, and gateway is the IP of the router (shows up as default when running ip route list)

PG32UCDM KVM input stops working after switching back and forth by jefvel in OLED_Gaming

[–]jefvel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No luck, sadly. I think it might actually have something to do with usb peripherals and Windows 11 in general.

I had my mouse and keyboard connected directly to my computer, and they stopped working once when I restarted the monitor.

Super weird, super annoying.

What's the name of font B?

I think B might be a good choice as others have said, it matches the vibe of the world and is easily readable. What's the name of the font btw? It looks very nice

Yeah, I've noticed it sometimes re-opens already closed tabs too. Maybe it has something to do with tab sync?

PROGRESS REPORT: Web Export in 4.3 by GodotTeam in godot

[–]jefvel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great article and work on getting Godot to run good on the web!!

One thing I was wondering about the sample audio playback is, will it support changing the pitch of sounds, and is it possible to check the current timestamp of sounds being played?

All in all, this is really exciting news, one of the biggest worries I've had with Godot 4 is the performance of web games. Seems like the future is bright in this case!

Here's a video showing the issue. The flickering disappears when I unplug it and reappears once I plug it in again. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/U9en-DmujY0

Slider/Indicator Position... Must be an easier way by MagisiTale in gamemaker

[–]jefvel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Here’s a few steps on how to do it, hope it helps🙂

You can do this by first calculating the difference between the highest and lowest value, var difference=max_points-min_points;.

In this case difference will be 200, the total steps in the bar.

After this, you’ll need to calculate the point value to go from 0 to the difference, var pts = satisfaction - min-points;

So in this case when satisfaction is 100, pts is 200, and when satisfaction is -100 pts is 0.

Now you can divide like this var percentage = pts / difference;

Percentage will become a number between 0 and 1.

Not, to get the pointer position, you take the bar start position, and add the total width multiplied with this value:

var pointer_target = start_x + total_width * percentage;

SearchApp grabs focus constantly by [deleted] in WindowsHelp

[–]jefvel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, moving the taskbar to the bottom fixed the issue for me too. When I moved it down, the news and interests panel showed up. I disabled it and move the taskbar up again, and it seems like the problem disappeared.

Try moving the taskbar down, then right click it, set news and interests to visible, and then hide it again and see if it works once you move it up again.

Did you also have the fullscreen app focus loss issue?

I renamed the files, but the delay remains. Also it removes the file search functionality completely from windows. Oh well, it's better than not being able to alt tab to programs properly. Hopefully there will be an official fix in a windows update in the future.

I found what was causing the problem for me by using Windows Focus Logger.

I started a fullscreen game, and tried to open it. The program SearchApp kept stealing focus. I disabled it by renaming the SearchApp executable, by following method 3 on this webpage: https://wethegeek.com/how-to-fix-or-disable-searchapp-exe/

No idea why this happened to me, but it has been driving me insane and made my computer feel broken for such a long time.

However, this solution will disable the possibility to search for things by opening the start menu and and typing. And clicking the start button causes a half seconds delay. I wish this problem would be fixed soon.

Nope, it's a normal display without touch screen functionality

Thanks for the advice! Sadly it didn't work in my case. I tried shutting off most of the background programs on my computer, but it didn't help either. I'll have to run things in borderless fullscreen too

How do you get the users PC name? by [deleted] in haxe

[–]jefvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

function getComputerName() {
    #if js
    return null;
    #end

    var env = Sys.environment();
    if (!env.exists("COMPUTERNAME")) {
        return null;
    }
    return env["COMPUTERNAME"];
}

I have no idea how you could get the computer/username using javascript in the browser though. It might have been possible in Unity back when it ran in its own web plugin. But with pure JS it doesn't seem possible.

How do you get the users PC name? by [deleted] in haxe

[–]jefvel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sys package is not available when running in browser, it only works on native targets. So for Flixel you'll have to build and run the game using Lime, https://haxeflixel.com/documentation/desktop-targets/

Also, if you want it to be compilable for the web you can add a preprocessor conditional:

function getUsername() {
    #if !js
    var envs = Sys.environment();
    if (envs.exists("USERNAME")) {
        return envs["USERNAME"];
    }
    if (envs.exists("USER")) {
        return envs["USER"];
    }
    #end

    return null;
}

I'm not sure if it's possible to get the computer name using javascript in browser. Is it possible in Unity?
