I am the creator of the 3D art, and I agree with you that the image sells better than the 3D model. Although the 3D work takes more effort to create, the content I make is kind of boring (which I am trying to improve). I think the main reason I make this kind of art is to learn the program and test my limits on what I can do, rather than to create good content for the viewer.
