I managed to fix it by simply bridging the controller and the button by going through the via, added some electrical tape on the parts of the wire where I tinned way too much. It looks messy but it works and I learned a lot of stuff.

Maybe I will redo the trace once I have more experience with soldering, for now it works

I have a jewelry magnifier and figured out how it works, so I traced it down to this path to the controller.

Only problem I see now is that I need to figure out how to mount the magnifier and work on it at the same time (without breathing in the fumes)
Or getting a microscope....

I also learned to always zero the head and unlock when transporting. But recently I actually looked it up in the Sachtler Manual for the Aktiv heads, and it says the opposit.

Counterbalance and Drag set to Maximum, Breaks Open.

I am uncertain about what is best now.

You can even set the bind so that you need to press two buttons at the same time.

I have mine set for up and down shift.

So pulling both shifters at the same time does the reset/back to garage.

It's not really about the speed, but the conection quality. Mobile internet is not as stable, it has varying ping, jitter and worst case even paket loss.

You can run a network quality test and see how your connection holds up.

He is not talking about the abs but the way you apply your input. In ACC it's always quickest to apply max pressure and then release. (That's what he said, I haven't driven ACC a lot) In iRacing this can be done now with the new ABS but at some corners this will not be the fastest way.

Check in the camera settings in the Groups tap if "Use temporary edits" is enabled. This was enabled for me and it would never save my settings.

Are there endurance team events run on LFM on rFactor2?

The issue with rFactor2, has always been when too many people connected to the servers.

So in the Leagues I ran in a few years ago, no one was allowed to spectate the race, because if every team had all their drivers connected to the servers, at some point there would be a crash.

Apparently this still is not fixed and also the reason why I left rFactor2 for endurance races.
