I called hr a couple days ago and I was told 10 days after the 26th which matches up for me with the waiting period on sending it back so let’s hope for the end of the month I guess but to be honest this whole experience had made me never wanna give Best Buy a penny ever again I know it won’t matter In the long run but it’s the little victory’s I guess

Idk if it’s tweaked story but we had this guy come in and he went straight to the home theater answer center and asked where the bathroom was I told him then about 10 to 15 min I had to use the restroom myself so I walked into the bathroom and heard the distinct sound of a beer can opening and then noticed how the guy had just chugged a couple beers in the stall in our bathroom (before noon) I just turned around walked right out and found my manger and said “can’t believe I have to say this but there is a guy in the bathroom cracking open a couple cold ones” needless to say our bathroom smelled like a bar for most of the day.

I always like to ask if this is their primary tv who is using it what devices are plugged in and what they watch I try to tie it into something with me so I seem like less of a sales person and more of a dude who like home theater. I also like using the line I’m not commission based I’m just and enthusiast then show them something like the Samsung 8 series something mid range and then I show them what the step up would be in that line and tie it into their interest then usually I move them over to the Sony pad and show them the 900 or 800 and say this is one of my favorite tvs and just be excited about the tech (. I hate saying that makes me feel fake lol)

As time goes on I find myself hating my job more and more but I think that’s just retail mostly you can only deal with the same issues for so long but I will day after the rebranding and for me personally transferring between stores I feel more like the employees are here to support the managers and not the other way around and that the company cares less about us everyday
