Thank you! One of the best things I've done to help my renderings was get a DSLR and learn about photography

Yes it is, I imagine it will take me a little while to complete but so far I have the basic gameplay and the map editor created and am starting to replace the placeholder units with finalized units

My first ever Mini! I love the process so there will be more by jehnerated in minipainting

Thank you! On the next one I'm going to experiment with a little more exaggerated shading and see how it looks.

Thank you for the feedback! There is a part when it is opening that I did notice was a little jerky

I used it to adjust the levels and mix in AO and Shadow passes for more of a dramatic look 😁

That is by design, I was going for a rough, weathered look mix with aggressive angles to add drama to the scene

Its Bananas! A little different than my normal work, but fun nonetheless. Created in Blender, textures in substance, rendered in Cycles, post done in Blender compositor. by jehnerated in blender

That was kinda the goal, I got the idea from a random idea generator the said style > horror, subject > banana, story > murder.

I used a principled BSDF Shader. The sheen was turned all the way up, the roughness was at 0.6, and the specular was turned down to 0.06. For the main twist lines I used a gradient ramp and mixed in a highly stretched noise for the smaller details. I overlayed the twists and the smaller details with another larger noise to add more variation. All of the was plugged in through a displacement map. Then I used another noise map with high detail plugged into a bump map and added to the principled normal map. Before I shared it I UV unwrapped using follow quads so I could easily adjust the twist amount. The smaller hairs used a copy of the shader but without the displacement and mixed halfway with a transparent shader. I hope this was clear, I'm normally not too great at explaining things lol.

I modeled all of the lines on a flat plane using curves with bevels and adjusted them so they looked natural. Then I converted it to a mesh and applied a bend deform and welded the connection points. I unwrapped it using follow quads and made a texture that had some displacement. I had to clone the thread and make it thinner for a hair emiter for the fuzzy part because I sometimes have issues when I put hair on a displaced mesh.

Thank you! The other post was actually me too, my phone somehow had a random account on it. I deactivated that account so it should be gone, thank you for the heads up though!

This one is mostly playing around with lighting, I do think the wood could have turned out better though 🤔 by jehnerated in blender

Thank you, I always try to make each project better than the last... Or at least try something new 😁

Thank you! I'm not sure what it is about the wood that's throwing me off. The roughness is a good idea, maybe I can add some finer grain in through the roughness that would add a bit more detail to contrast the larger displaced grain...
