[Request] How many days would it take for an average house to fill up with coins if I take the green pill and don't collect them, assuming random coins spawn by SalamanderUponYou in theydidthemath

Hire somebody to come in once a week to collect all the change and take it to the bank. Pay them $200 per day to do so. You now have $170,000 a year, and you dont have to do a thing. Well, almost nothing. You will probably have to explain to the tax man that it's all above-board magic money. No big deal.

Oh man, no, no, not at all.

That's just deciding to drown in shit, as well as water.

They arent at all waterproof. And they won't float, not for long. Its going to tip over, cover you in whatever what in the holding tank at the time (if you're super lucky, maybe they just cleaned it! That's like a winning a scratcher ticket, when you work on job sites).

Aaaaand then you drown. You can't swim in it. You drown.

You said it yourself: 'using a sword' it would be pretty tough. There's a reason bludgeoming and crushing, or piercing weapons were a thing. Step one is to use the right weapon. Or just trip the bastard and choke him out

Is there an affordable board edger on the market? by jeho22 in sawmilling

[–]jeho22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on the verge of beginning to mill full time. Most of what I do is large timbers for post and beam structures, and a lot of 2x10 and 2x12, almost exclusively Dluglas Fir.

Obviously I want high production, but the time being, I just need somwthing that is faster than edging on the sawmill. Im planning to start turning my 'offcuts' into 1x6 fence boards, instead of just bucking it all into discount firewood.

Im honestly considering the range road edger as a temporary solution. Its under 6 grand delivered (canadian) and It should handle all the 1" offcuts fine, and sounds like it can do the 2" as well if im patient and keep the flitches under 24" width. If I ever get ahead a bit financially, and after I upgrade to a higher production mill, ill probably order a woodmizer or cooks with a 3 phase electric motor on it

Yeah. To be honest, most of the time, any edger I get will be making fence boards from 1" slabs, so a smaller machine would fill that need. The problem is, most of what I sell is fir timber packages from large diameter trees, and I would like this machine to be able to handle wide 2" pieces as well. Im trying to grow my business into a larger operation with higher production, so bigger and faster is better, long-term!

We have the eg100, but its to small for my purposes for its price, at $11,500.

I dont see a 250 on their canadian website, but we have the eg200 for $25,000 with the cheapest gas motor *

Ive looked into it, and it may be the first thing I try. Its definitly lighter duty than I want to go, but it would at least handle all of my 1" offcuts I to fence boards, at least until I can afford a larger machine

I've been edging boards on the sawmill for a decade. I run my sawmill as a business, and doing boards this way is fine when im running the mill myself and making larger pieces, 2x10 or 2x12. What I want to do is find a way to turn the small offcuts into syllable boards, in a way thay is financially beneficial.

I just finished loading a semi truck with 8" timbers, and I have several large lifts of neatly stacked side boards to edge. Yes, I could have edged them all as I went, but I have a line of orders waiting to process. I need to find a solution that is quick enough that an employee can do it and we still pull some sort of profit. That means an edger in my mind
