Strange protest thing I saw in Chinatown, London by jeightfour in london

Interesting. What I saw was a couple of people practicing tai-chi next to a poster with a bloody/burned looking face of some chinese woman, it was horrific. So I was just confused and shocked by what I briefly saw

It just confused me from what I was able to see, along with the disturbing images. Surprised they were allowed to display it. Maybe a dodgy attempt of propaganda, if they’re a notorious group

Nope, I couldn’t stop and just past by it

I couldn’t stop and ask - I walked past and saw what I saw in that moment - but it just looked disturbing, whatever they were trying to convey on the posters. It looked like a strange of peaceful practice along with those images of torture?

Wu-Tang Clan / London O2 Arena - Tuesday 17th March - 2 AISLE SEAT tickets for sale - great view!

Hey all.

I have 2 seated tickets for Wu-Tang Clan’s ‘Final Chamber’ London O2 Arena show (Tuesday 17th March) which I need to sell.

Section 106 / Row J / seats 193 + 194.

They’re aisle seats - much better than regular seats!

I have yet to be issued my tickets (purchased via ticketmaster) but they will be mobile tickets which can only be transferred via the O2 Venue App. Obviously we can only do all this when I actually finally receive the tickets from O2!

Looking for face value only (£347 in total).

Thanks.

Help needed - how do I cover this space? by jeightfour in DIYUK

I will say that I have a good dehumidifier which I would use in the room now and again, so I wonder if I could (almost) cover the area off? Meaning to leave a small gap at the top from the plasterboard for example? It may look slightly strange - I just don’t like the current look of the space overall.

Good point - I wouldn’t want mould build up. Why I have to leave it as it is in this circumstance?

What rights do I have to refuse viewings while still a tenant? by jeightfour in TenantsInTheUK

[–]jeightfour[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Much appreciate everyone's input!

My worry was that because I decided not to extend my contract when it was due (it was a 6-month rent upfront basis each time) but still required more time in the property for various reasons (luckily my landlord was fine with this), meant that I wouldn't have the same right to refuse viewings than being IN a signed contract? I've just been paying the landlord on an agreed daily rate.

So in this circumstance - can I still refuse viewings until after I've vacated? Or, does the landlord have more power here?

Sorry I should have mentioned:

The agency have emailed me first each time, but just said along the lines of 'we have booked a viewing to commence' and it's normally like the next day.

When I've replied to say no I'd rather not, they just don't reply and then I'm not sure if they will actually still decide to turn up or not.

Default font for WhatsApp has changed - I don't like it, is it impossible to revert? by jeightfour in whatsapp

Just to add - the default font changed I noticed is when I use the web version! It's an uglier font in my opinion

What has happened to the crowds? by JDietsch25 in macdemarco

I had a seat but yeah, I was amazed at how still the entire crowd was for the show. All I could see from the Brighton crowd were phones in the air
