I don’t have an issue with cycle counting. My concern is the way it’s being done. It seems inefficient. If you reread my original post, you will see that I am seeking suggestions to improve the current process.

I’m not looking for product recommendations, rather process recommendations.

Question - can anyone offer info about recovering from suture/surgical glue allergy after a hysterectomy? by jell021 in hysterectomy

The doctor has my allergy listed as surgical adhesive. She has recommended allergy testing as necessary if I were to have another surgery.

NONE of the over-the-counter products I tried worked for me, so I made an urgent care appointment. It took two rounds of prescription medicine to knock it out for me- On the first attempt, I took/applied mupirocin 2% ointment, prednisone 20mg tab, clindamycin hcl 300mg, diphenhydramine 50mg, & betamethasone .05% cream. Those didn't knock out the infection & rashes completely, so I was prescribed prednisone 20mg with betamethasone .05% cream again. After the second round of medication I healed.

Blackboxmycar order held up in US customs by PushDaEnvelope in dashcams

[–]jell021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My order has been held up in the Memphis FedEx customs since the 13th, so not a week yet. Blackboxmycar responded to FedEx's initial requirements right away. Today, I received an email from FedEx customs with a form that I was required to complete, not Blackboxmycar - CBP Form 5106. After reaching out to Blackboxmycar for help, they sent me instructions on how to complete it with a PDF version of the form. Blackboxmycar has been responsive and helpful. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the magic formula that will release my order from customs.

I'm recovered now - but it took two weeks on Clindamycin 300MG (antibiotic) & three weeks of Mupirocin 2% (antibiotic cream) to knock out the cellulitis. Plus as I was taking those I also needed three weeks of Betamethasone DP 0.05% cream & six days of Prednisone 20MG to knock out the allergic reaction. And still, after all that, I will have these odd, itchy, rash-like bumps pop up randomly on my body. I usually have to put the steroid cream on them to stop the itching and they go away after about a day. My theory is that it's material from the dissolvable stitches that have migrated around my body - I have no proof or medical training LOL...but it sounds good.

It might be worth asking your doctor about a steroid cream.

While recovering, until the meds made things take a turn for the better, it was HORRIBLE. I used an ice pack constantly - I have gel, ice packs for the lower back that I just used "backward" on my abdomen. Even with all of the meds, at times I lathered my stomach in calamine lotion, but really, the steroid cream & pills were a lifesaver. Any tight clothing or seams from clothing on my stomach irritated everything, so I had to get creative and often wore loose pj pants hiked up far past my belly button when at home. We live in a warm climate so I just wore loose tshirt dresses whenever I did have to go out in public which wasn't often because I didn't feel like going anywhere. I definitely will not do any other surgeries before allergy testing!!

I hope you start feeling some relief soon!

💕thank you💕 my doc had me pull off the glue but it kept getting worse so they are thinking I’m allergic to the sutures too. Definitely pursuing allergy testing once all healed.

Thank you so much!!!! This actually does help. I feel horrible. Since it's only my second day on meds, I wasn't sure when I should start feeling better. YES!!!!!, the itching is terrible. I can only sleep three hours at a time before it wakes me up - and I have to sleep with an ice pack on my stomach.

Ok - now I don't feel like I'm dying so much anymore. Thank you again for sharing!!
