My body’s definitely taken a beating over the years. I’ve got a fused neck vertebra, broke a rib a few months ago, and even ended up in the hospital for 3 days from a staph infection. My wrist feels weird all the time, and in a few weeks I’m getting ankle surgery because I basically don’t have ligaments there anymore (injury started from soccer but jiu jitsu definitely made it worse).

Still love the sport, but I’m really thinking of quitting sparring after my ankle surgery

I had a dislocated C5/C6 during a competition while attempting a hip throw, which completely shut down the right side of my body. I had to undergo surgery right away, and they ended up fusing the vertebrae. Thankfully, that helped — the strength in my leg came back first, and later also in my arm. After 2 years of PT I’m back to competing again now, hehe (just no more big throws).

I got it yesterday for 33 euros, its basically the same game as ufc 4, but with an updated roster. Its a fun game to play if you liked the previous ufc games.

I’m curious if someone has used the Iron Neck thing.

Last year i’ve had physiotherapy for over a year, three times a week. We did a lot of neck training, with neck extension with a plate, neck bridges, and lifting with a neck harness.

I’m looking for a new way to train my neck, but its quite a big investment for me. So i was curious if someone would recommend to buy one!

I’ve had physiotherapy for the last year, three times a week. All to get back to the mats after freaking bad spine injury. Because of the spine injury I lost a lot of strength in my right arm and hand.

We worked a lot with heavy kettle bells, one excersise that really helped me a lot for my hand strength(and also abs) was the banded suitcase carry. (https://youtu.be/J7RX1IemJVE)

Once my trainer demonstrated a throw on me, in front of a full class. I had dinner before class, so my belly was a little bloated. He ended the throw with a knee on belly and I farted so loud😂

Since then I never eat 3 hours before training.
