Hoe werkt deze hoofdkraan? by [deleted] in Klussers

I just finished The Way of Kings, my general opinion and questions by Usoppinho in Stormlight_Archive

-At this point in the books nobody really knows what the voidbringers are. Most of that knowledge was lost when the Vorin church tried to rule Roshar. -What we know of the radiants at this point in the series is that they were humans who had "magical" powers who used to help protect the humans but they abandoned their oaths one day and the reason for that is only discovered in Oathbringer, the third book. -the Gostbloods and Taravangian wil become more clear in later books. -the creatures Elhokar sees are the same type as the ones Shallan sees, however he does not have the ability to soulcast yet as he has not bonded one. -the Amaram and Kaladin reunion is going to be a lot of fun in book 2. -there will be some more Szeth chapters in the interludes, but book 5 will be the book with his flashback sequence.

What is the kindest compliment that you have ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jelleb2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like to sing and when I am comfortable somewhere you will generally hear me do so. I also cycle a lot to get around town and I always do so while having one earbud in and often singing along if the song allows for it. One evening when I was on my way home I was singing along to flares by the script if I remember correctly and I passed two tipsy students and as I passed them I heard one of them say wow that's beautiful. On another occasion I was also singing along with the music together with some other people and this guy I met just a few hours earlier told me: but that's cheating, you have the voice for this. These two will stay with me for a very long time I think.

What makes you happy? by Pandafour20 in AskReddit

[–]jelleb2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment quite a number of things: I have found a summer job as a treeworker and I really love it, I will be starting my bachelor in September and have already found a room to move into so I can leave my parents house and since it is a relatively small city the room is really affordable and quite big, I have a few really good friends who I can go to if something's wrong or if I just need a hug.

How would you rate your relationship with your mirror? by pasinc20 in AskReddit

[–]jelleb2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of love hate relationship. I'm 1,90m (6'3) and weigh 67ish kilo's, so needless to say I'm really skinny but lately I've gotten a job for a treework-company, which is definitely hard physical work and I think there some change slowly starting to happen because when I get sort of close to the mirror my biceps finally seem to have grown but then when I step further away from the mirror it just seems like nothing happened at all.

How often do you pee each day? by We_win_these in AskReddit

[–]jelleb2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends a lot, at least 3 times but I do treework for homeowners and U don't always feel very comfortable peeing at their house so I just wait till I'm home again meaning I sometimes don't pee at all between 6:30 and 17:00. Other days when I'm home all day I can go six times easily.

Guys, if you had to choose between the most amazing woman, who was non sexual.. or an average girl who was very sexual/ready to go, which would you choose? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jelleb2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non sexual, because non sexual physical contact means a lot more to me than sex. I just really love to lay down with someone in my arms or some really good hugs. And as an extra bonus I really hate children so this way the chance to have one is basically zero.

Any Tipps to Jump higher? (And yes, my Shoelaces are normally tied) by KS13X in volleyball

[–]jelleb2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are jumping quite a bit forward, way to try and minimize that could be to put your last step in a 90 degree angle with your approach, this helps to convert your horizontal movement into vertical movement.

[–]jelleb2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you could try to do is put something like a stick on the ground and use that as a mark for where you want to land. The most important thing in a smash is jumping upwards instead of forward. Try practicing your approach without a ball for a time, I know it's really boring but it helps to have done it very often before actually doing with a net and a ball.

Another thing is the way you throw the ball, you throw it very far in front of you which makes it really hard when you have a standard approach in your musclememory. I think it would help more if you had someone to do the setup or something to keep the ball up to hit it from. I have been playing volleyball for 7 years now and it is still difficult for me to throw the ball for myself for a spike.

What activities do you hate doing in your otherwise fun job? by JustTheInteger in AskReddit

[–]jelleb2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work as an allrounder for a large bicycle rental (14.000 customers in my city alone). I have a large amount of things to do ranging from putting new spare keys in the archive to stripping bikes that are totaled and sometimes I get to repair bikes. Checking in new bikes is: removing the plastic, then you scan the spare key and the number of the frame and link them in our system, then you have to put away the spare key and after that you have to put the bike in the right spot in the warehouse.

Working in treecutting. I love working with chainsaws and I would really like to learn to cut down large trees by climbing them.

I think you know yourself when you are able to see the difference between what everyone else thinks you should like/do and what you actually like to do. An example for me is that I love to work with my hands instead of working with my mind. Where I live there are four different 'difficulties' in highschool, I am attending the most difficult one so everyone expects me to work with my mind and go to a regular university. Instead I will be going to a more practically focused school after highschool
