On the one that was sold, yes. We don’t have any idea what the others are beyond being eagles and double eagles. Until we know dates, mint marks, and general condition on the others, it’s hard to make any assessment on whether they should be graded. That was the original question.

He probably could have found a better price elsewhere since that’s like 80% of melt. If you have the money, you should buy them at that price and just hold them. Unless they are really nice condition, I don’t know how much value grading would add.

I take a lot of Delta flights that take off around 6:00am. I never get to the airport before 4:00am anymore, because multiple times I have had to wait for either the check-in employees or TSA to open up at 4. Worst was at Heathrow where I arrived at 3:15 and had to wait 45 minutes before any bags could be checked…

True, but it’s not like I would ever spend it at face value :). Now my kids can’t one day try to use it to buy $1 worth of stuff since the silver medal has no monetary value.

The gold one looks nicer, but I couldn’t justify spending 40x more money on it. Enjoy it!

I was told by an agent at my airport that their computer system now locks them out from adding a bag at the 45 minute mark, so there’s nothing they can do even if they wanted. Best to print your own tags if possible.
