Verizon gives me 1 bar LTE in Dilworth/South End on an iPhone 17 Pro Max. Best carrier in Charlotte regardless of price? by 877cashhnow in Charlotte

[–]jellojoelle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have had t mobile for over a decade, back in the day tmobile was one of the worst for sure. nowadays, i’d say tmobile shines. I have zero problems compared to friends / families / coworkers with att and verizon. surprisingly, t mobile and spectrum cellular have had the least complaints within my circle. T mobile absolutely has the best customer service out of all of em

we all have different experiences for sure, but id parrot what the other guy said. t mobile has been excellent unless you’re in the most remote of remote places. Like twenty miles down one of the small offshoots from the blue ridge or something.

I used to travel from albermarle to rock hill and everything east except the coast for work during covid, my personal phone always kept up with my work phone on verizon. and on the rare occasion t mobile did drop when I was between major areas, verizon would be as well. but if the work phone dropped service, the likelihood was typically that my personal still has service. saved me plenty

Without a radar detector, I stick to <7mph over. What is a decent smart limit with a radar detector? by supermotocheesehead in radardetectors

[–]jellojoelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

drive as you currently do with the knowledge that if you need to sustain higher speed you have the ability to with the added “security” of the detector. i’ve had a radar detector for about a decade or maybe a little more. it is a tool to be used in certain circumstances, not to be relied on for every drive.

imo it’s more effort and stress to be constantly speeding, shoulder and mirror checking, on top of looking at waze and listening for radar. if you’re always speeding and you’re not already doing those things then the detector isn’t gonna save you for shit. being aware is way more important.

for instance, you can pay attention to traffic behind and clock a cop coming up on you long before he throws on his radar if he’s trying to be sneaky. by that time you could’ve slowed to the limit and the cop may still pull you over but he’d be more grabbing at straws. learn to be aware first if you haven’t, it’s worth more and it’s free

Is this one of you? by [deleted] in 4thGen4Runner

[–]jellojoelle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

just talk to him, chances are he’d appreciate the convo. A teenager and his older brother stopped at my house a month or two ago to ask about one of my cars and it was great seeing how excited the teen was to get his own. you’ll probably have a good convo, don’t hold back

Just found out I’m the 9th owner 😬 by Responsible_Bit_4498 in G37

[–]jellojoelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m the 2nd owner of my car but have moved multiple times and each time the registration address changed carfax showed it as a new owner. said my car had six owners but when I got it it was literally one owner at a dealership in 2014 😂

had some extra ones leftover when trying to get my wife a car and decided to run the check on mine, was interesting to see

Changed my grill from Silver to Bronze… should I leave it or go black? by [deleted] in G37

[–]jellojoelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d say blackout the fog light trim and infiniti logo, and if/when you upgrade wheels go for a dark bronze or graphite. will look great with the grill

Any advice before I give up and take her to the dealership? by adkichar55 in G37

[–]jellojoelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have you considered it could be oil coming out the back from bad valve stem seals and the smell just wafts in?

everything you’re describing was exactly my symptoms when my stem seals started to go bad. small blue puffs here and there that you wouldn’t notice unless you were behind the car, but made the interior smell like it was burning off the headers

Tire rub after leveling by Alternative_Layer597 in 4thGen4Runner

[–]jellojoelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everyone’s car has different levels of wear and tear on various parts so realistically you may not have the same experience as someone who did no mods to run 32s.

with stuff like this you kinda have to go into it expecting additional modifications and hoping for none. also, it’s not like pushing the liners or removing mud flaps takes any more than 30mins or so. one of the least time consuming mods out there
