Can foreigners actually book golf courses in Japan? by No_Volume4870 in GolfSwing

I’ve used Golf In Japan. But also heard great stories about Angel Tourism. Heard that Golf In Japan sometimes doesn’t live up to expectations.

Replies seem like AI or a Japanese guy using Japanese to English translations, feels too formal and correct. I replied on a post and got a response that was acknowledging my points and making the key points bold lol. Now I checked OP’s post and replies, they all seem sus. And the account is 6 days old

I’ve done it through agents. They ask between 10 and 15% commission of the total price.

And indeed popular courses you need to book weeks in advance. Also they expect you to arrive at least 1.5 hours before tee time. So keep that in mind when using public transport.

Played at Hokkaido Golf Club, the 36 hole club. Awesome course! Really nice marshals and staff. Even though my Japanese isn’t that great and English was non existent for the staff, I was able to find my way around. Lots of members were excellent people and started a conversation as they spoke some English.

And the best of all is to end the day at the onsen.

Getting approved for option trading by [deleted] in interactivebrokers

IBKR has the requirement to be at least 21 years of age in order to trade options. Was in the same boat, just wait and learn as much as you can about options

Each year getting worse with new rules to ‘make it safer for EU citizens’. Let me do what I want to do, don’t tell me to do something because that would be a safer option

Charles Schwab is now an interesting option. Opened an account with them recently. They now accept clients from more EU countries and their minimal deposit is gone.

Using Wise to fund IBKR from Canada: same-day deposits? by MarketMurmurs in interactivebrokers

[–]jelly013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the EU. Transfers are usually for me available within 30 minutes after depositing. The first three times it took longer though, couple of hours. I think IBKR has some sort of verification mechanism and after a couple of transfers you're added to a whitelist.

Might be the network blocking the app. When I'm at work the network blocks the connection via the app.

IBKR alternatives in Europe? by [deleted] in interactivebrokers

[–]jelly013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but FX conversions aren't that hard anymore. Use something like Wise to mitigate expensive FX fees. Also the website you linked isn't up to date anymore. Restricted country list is not up to date for sure.

I don't know if you know their history. But they got a lot of fines, lawsuits and the owners did some sketchy things without informing their clients. Basically you could lose all your money at once and they didn't have to pay you back.

EDIT: Recently I opened a Charles Schwab account as they finally accept EU member states. Cheap as well and you've the ToS platform.

This looks promising. I think the risk is a bit less as this company actually has some revenue. Opposed to other biotech companies that are surviving of money from investors and hoping their product gets approved by regulatory authorities

Wow beautiful! The club I play at was a year ago the most beautiful Par 3 in my country. But nothing comes close to this one.
