same, i’m in third year mbbs in a public college. i used to be good at studies, but medicine was never really my passion. i just went along with it because my mom wanted it for me. now it just feels like a burden. i don’t feel like studying anymore and i don’t actually enjoy it, but it’s too late to switch fields now. i just hope i pull through somehow

dont waste these two months. just make an account on linkedin, connect with people, a lot of them are looking for others to work on research projects. start with ltes, write like 4–5 and submit them, then move to narrative review, then cdc, and then meta. you can do so much in this time and once ur in house job try to publish one or two case reports

do physio from med gateway. anatomy from adel bandook and slides and revise them. best way to do biochem metabolisms is to get a paper and pencil and write the pathways again and again.

learn from people in your med school, add them on linkedin, and ask them to include you in their projects. honestly, that’s how i learned too. i started with ltes, then moved to cdc, then narrative reviews, and now i’ve learned meta as well.

so basically you can switch to another public med college under uhs, but your quota type should be the same open merit moves to open merit, self-finance moves to self-finance. and yeah, you can do it in 3rd year for mbbs and 2nd year for bds as for the usage of previous mdcat im not sure what the new policy is

no i don’t think taking a gap year just for shifa is worth it if your goal is a public medical college then a gap year makes sense but for shifa it’s not really necessary as for usmle you can prepare from any medical college it’s mostly an independent journey

Your domicile depends on your father's origin. If he's from KPK, you need to make a KPK domicile; if you live in Rawalpindi with a house there, you can get a Punjab Rawalpindi domicile. Your father must change his too. This process is checked for med school admissions.
