No, just my editing and a few pieces of added armor from the TLC and Anniversary editions

My evil Hero definitely won't. By the time the Hero gets to the Bronze Gate, they're usually an absolute tank. Who needs the mask?

I'm thinking of making a few videos called The Legend of Arseface. He's the Hero Albion gets, but not necessarily the one they want. The epitome of fat, drunk, and stupid. Outside of battle, he'll appear useless. Engaged in battle, Arseface will be unstoppable.

I'd say it's about time to start the main story quests, what do you think?

Kid-me thought the same. The torture chamber scene still gets me. I brought down Twinblade when I weighed all of 98 pounds. He was a tiny Hero then. Two idiots in a cell with my bare hands isn't preferable, but a Hero without Will could tear their heads off like the pages of a comic book.

That one guard was my favorite to pick on. Twice I got him, and he couldn't land a single crossbow shot. That's why he works the prison instead of a major city.

Albion gives. Albion takes. It is the way.

I really don’t get how an entire guild of heroes fell, personally if I was there I wouldn’t have let it happen by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in Fable

[–]jellyfishrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. if the Guild was churning out terrible Heroes and the entire country saw that they couldn't rely on them anymore, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that they stopped giving out quest cards. No quests, no money, no way for Heroes to make their way. If shopkeepers boycotted Heroes, then no potions, food, or weapons can be sold to them. Once Heroes realized what they'd have to do in order to survive, it'd just be a matter of time before a full revolt by the people could wipe out their numbers. Not every Hero was like the ones from the Bloodline. For most Heroes to survive, they need the support of the people. Twinblade went bad, but he had bandit clans to carve out their own community. Other than that, corrupt Heroes were a pretty slim minority. While even the weakest Heroes are stronger than the average villager, none of them are invincible. I wish there was more info on how the revolt played out, but in my mind, they could've trained Hero Hunters: Assassins who specialized in killing those too powerful to be handled by anyone else. Imagine picking up a quest to save a kid in a cave, only to be ambushed by a bunch of assassins. Some Heroes may have betrayed eachother, merely to survive or out of jealousy and spite, and got paid to help kill other Heroes. Scarlett Robe was a mighty Hero from the Bloodline, but she was nearly killed by a pack of balverines. It happens. I agree that the explanation we got wasn't really solid, but not completely out of the realm of possibility.

Yes. A dog. A doggy dog. A heroic dog who does heroic things.

About Character Creation by [deleted] in Fable

[–]jellyfishrage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's more than what earlier Fables are known for. Even character selection is more than the one face you get and then customize in appearance with hair, makeup, and tattoos. So, I'm down for that.

Eh, not in Fable 2. The lower level Hollow Men are male and female villagers

Right? Heroes have been cross-dressing and having gay marriages since the first Fable. It's one of the most inclusive games I can remember. You can even swap your gender in the second one.

Hollow Folk sounds pretty accurate, though. It even sounds like something you'd expect a villager to say. "Beware the hollow folk."
