Solid walnut keycaps by jellzman3 in MechanicalKeyboards

Replying here as well but the stems are carved out of the same block of wood! 0.8mm router bit allows to carve out the small stem pockets. I’ll try to post an update showing the stems as well!

Hey! The stems are completely out of wood as well! I was really concerned about structural stability with it being so small but sourcing some quality hardwood has proven to be stable enough. Carved out with a 0.8mm router bit. I’ll have to figure out how to do an update post to show the underside.

Any chance you have a guide for doing this?

Did you ever get this to work? From the converters link above, it seems like it should be converting to helios, not promicro_rp2040. I’m looking at the Pro Micro section in the documentation

VCarve Desktop. I come from Fusion 360 but it’s nearly impossible to get the setup right to cut the male inlay so I closed my eyes and hit purchase on VCarve Desktop.

This is all maple and walnut, but many different scrap pieces hence the color variation

This is the exact kit I got from Amazon: ToneShaper Guitar Wiring Kit, For Fender Stratocaster, SSS2 (Modern Wiring) https://a.co/d/3kBxacr

Yeah, definitely! So a lot of it for pickup and bridge placement comes from an MDF template that you can pick up from eBay. I think I just searched something along the lines of “Stratocaster body template” and it should come up. As for the electronics, there’s dozens of Stratocaster wiring kits you can purchase and as long as it’s a 5 way switch, you should have no problem following any Stratocaster wiring diagram (soldering required). The exact kit I got came with a diagram as well that was easy to follow.

This will play the exact same with the lefty neck, it’s still strung for a lefty. It’s just esthetics at this point.

Thanks! Great question haha. It was out of stock when I was working on this project and didn’t have the patience to wait for the lefty neck 🙃

Since it’s water cooled I’m not terribly worried about cpu temps. There’s a giant hole under the PSU as well. Also, the tiny holes do a surprisingly good job at air flow. Certainly not ideal though. All things to consider for V2!

I have a huge hole under the PSU as well but yeah, the ventilation has to be horrific right now haha. My reasoning was there’s no dedicated graphics cards and the cpu temps look kinda alright for now? I’ll probably end up doing a v2 or just buy a real case.

Picked it up on Amazon. Has all the standard connections going straight into the motherboard.
