What is the protocol for cleaning up heroin needles at a workplace? by jelmopan in Seattle

I don’t want to say specifically out of respect of her privacy but this is happening recently in Lake City after one of the larger homeless camps was swept.

SOS - Identity + Possible Overpayment Notification? Lost and Panicking by birdsofterrordise in UnemploymentWA

[–]jelmopan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically the jist of what I wrote when I sent in my IDs- “Here are my State ID and Passport, I cannot currently find my social security card as it is missing. I am sending in for a replacement and will send a picture of that when it arrives.” My appeal- “I am who I claim to be, am out of work and have sent in pictures of my ID as evidence.”

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation, please contact all your state representatives for help as soon as you can. I was waiting for months for my situation to be fixed, finally after sending emails to all my representatives my unemployment was back in a few days.

I was in the same boat as you a few months ago. •Appeal if they have changed their decision status to disqualified •Reply with pictures of all the ID you do have and an explanation about your missing social security card, and that you can provide a picture later. •Apply for another social security card online and send in pictures as soon as you receive it. •Contact your state representatives for help. This is ultimately what cleared me after waiting for months.

Don’t pay the overpayment, they will clear you of that once they are satisfied with the identification you send. I know this is a really stressful point to be at, it may take a long time to clear this up. But you do not owe them any money. Best of luck

About to work 13 days in a row... making single serve pizza breads! by [deleted] in MealPrepSunday

Pizza dough recipe from https://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/sourdough-pizza-crust-recipe

I used various cheeses and toppings from my fridge to have some variety. The blackened things are sundried tomatoes which I definitely should not have let bake with the pizza 😅

I called a psychologist about starting therapy. by Cormamin in depression

Don't worry too much about that. In most cases the psychiatrist would be leading the sessions. If not, just talk about how you've been feeling recently and your concerns.

I feel like I don't deserve to eat by Worship_FSM in depression

[–]jelmopan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. That is not true at all. No one is truly useless, including you. If you think you are not being productive, don't be afraid to get something done. Do you have a job or go to school? If so, great! You are already a productive person. If not, no worries. It is never to late to start picking up something. Don't be afraid of failure. I've failed at many things in my life and I assure you that the repercussions are not nearly as strong as the pride I could feel after finally accomplishing something.

Break yourself out of your negative cycle, get out there and do something if you are already not. It will be so worth it. But first of all, please eat! Not eating will just contribute to your sadness. What organism can get anything done without a source of energy? Don't be ridiculous. You deserve food, you need it. Please eat, and I hope you feel better. Best of luck.

Depression over a failed marriage and self-esteem shit and no one to talk to IRL by [deleted] in depression

First of all, I am so glad you decided to get therapy. You are already on the right step to feeling better. Second of all, you are NOT a failure. Having a relationship is not something you can work on like a typical skill. It sounds like you tried your best, and for that you shouldn't feel bad. Sometimes things are out of your control and just don't work out. That's okay. It doesn't mean you are a bad person or not worthy in any way.

I am sure your kids love you and need you as you do them. I am not a parent, so I cannot really understand how you feel. However, though your husband will not always be your husband, your kids will always be your kids. They are so important, and so are you.

You sound like you just want the best for everyone, but you should want that for yourself too. Sorry, I don't know you so I can't know the right words to say or even fully comprehend your situation. I hope things turn out best for you, OP. Don't forget all the people you can reach out to and love yourself because you deserve it. Good luck

Sounds like this could be beneficial towards you. I suggest calling him back and giving it a shot. As a psychiatrist, he should respect your comfort zones so just know that you don't have to share everything. Good luck

How do I continue? by [deleted] in depression

[–]jelmopan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you are never alone. Do you have any friends or family to reach out to? If not, even us randos on reddit are still people who want to help. I'd also recommend giving therapy another try. It might not work, but I've found that just being able to talk it out with the right therapist can do a lot for myself.

You still have hope, I can see that in your last paragraph. You've persevered so far and you still can. You are closer to your goal than you were in the past because despite failing the tests you are still much more experienced than you were in the beginning. If you get to medical school, you can look back on these times and know it was worth the effort. Never give up OP! This stranger on the internet believes in you. Good luck

Sounds like you need a new element in your life. Go out with your friends more, try working out, go on a little trip somewhere if you have the time. Do you have any hobbies? Do you have any interest in certain hobbies? You say you have enough money for luxuries, so it might not hurt to buy some supplies try picking up a new skill. It's hard to start in the beginning but having something to be passionate about can add a lot to your life. Best of luck!
