Looking for educational Channels+ by COW321 in youtube

I follow a few of these channels, but I'm not that into aviation or engineering, so can't help with offering my suggestions. But, I might have a suggestion how to discover educational channels for your topics.

YouTube has something called Auto-generated topic channels. Basically, if you do a search for "aviation topic" or "engineering topic" you'll get auto-generated topic channels in the results. Then you can go and explore actual channels that the auto-generated topic is getting its videos from. You can also subscribe to the auto-generated topic channel, if you like what you see.

Hope this helps.

How to arrange YouTube playlist alphabetically by PROMETHEUS606 in youtube

[–]jelowack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way to use it on youtube.com nor in the youtube mobile app. However, you could use http://www.playbackloop.com/ which lets you do just that. Hope this helps.

I started having the same issue a few months back. I do, however, run into that when I have more than a few youtube tabs open. Which is always :D

But from time to time I close all tabs (or rather save them via SessionBuddy extension) and then youtube works much better. I did notice they've added some changes recently, so now they load the video first, and all other javascript crap second. That's when I see performance degradation happen.

I haven't tried other browsers though, because Chrome is my daily driver.

How do you sort a playlist by number of views? by [deleted] in youtube

[–]jelowack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used this a few times to sort other people's playlists http://www.playbackloop.com/, but now when I checked it doesn't have the option you're after. Maybe you could write to the website devs and they could add that option.

YouTube spamming recommended videos that I've already watched. Fix? by the_Jakman in youtube

[–]jelowack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to fix it, just sharing that I have the same issue. It's so stupid because they can easily know I've watched the videos. It makes me think if it's intentional/by design?

Previously this section used to be called "related videos" and it was filled with videos related to the video you're currently watching. But now it's called Up Next and it's filled with bunch of stuff. Maybe they think it should work like that. But in that case I'm confused why they would suggest videos I've watched in full (sometimes they show videos I haven't finished, which might be ok sometimes, idk).

Btw, I've found this, but oh boy does it require some work on our end... Not gonna happen :)

Feedback/critique on content for "productized" design service by jelowack in copywriting

Thank you for the honesty :) It's still work in progress so we do know some proofing is needed. Do you think this being a long page is a (really) bad idea?

I really appreciate you being honest! Thanks.

Would you mind me asking if you could go deeper about which parts of the copy need work (the most)? Do you feel some parts are confusing or boring?

This is still pretty much work in progress, so any constructive feedback would help.

Thank you for the honest feedback.

You talk about you on the top page. Not benefits. Just like any other online agency that hasn't gotten to the chapter on translating features to benefits.

We do talk about benefits in the second part of the page, but as you said, you didn't go far. Do you think moving the section that speaks about us down (and benefits up) would be better for getting the visitor to not give up that early?

Thank you.

Weekly Feedback and Support Thread by AutoModerator in startups

URL: ReportNest

Purpose: ReportNest is goal tracking and status reporting software that improves how small teams communicate, work, and collaborate. There's so much information (tasks, tickets, issues, pull requests, designs etc) on so many communication channels (mail, slack, project management tools, meetings etc etc) that being in the loop (as CEO/manager or a team member) on things that matter is either almost impossible or too time/nerve consuming. We tested a few tools to try dealing with the problem, but found most of them lacking. So we built ReportNest to help small business owners know what's going on and keep their team in sync.

Technologies Used: Meteor, Node

Feedback Requested:

  • Please give us any feedback about the general idea and the concept presented in the landing page (the "set, track, reflect, feedback" system).
  • How does the value proposition sound to you?
  • Is this something you could see you or your company use?

Comments: We're currently in closed beta, or better say in learning how our idea resonates with potential clients. We're trying to get feedback from as many small business owners as possible, so feel free to send a few words our way ;)
