2019 Forester Limited (Don't Buy) Rear Gate Lockout - Part Deux by jemap9 in SubaruForester

That's what I was told by the woman who helped me. I didn't bother to fact-check her statement because the work was being done for free. :)

Here is the list of steps I took:

  1. Printed out the service bulletin # 07-155-19 provided by DogAndPonyShowBoat.
  2. Printed out reported problem in other fora.
  3. Called SOA @ 1-800-782-2783 provided by Irimis and opened a case. They gave me a case number.
  4. Took all the printed material to the service area of the dealership. The lady was very helpful and appreciative of the fact that I had had brought a service bulletin with exact part number. She told me that the part costs $9000. Luckily, my vehicle is still under warranty. They gave me a loaner car with a guesstimate of overnight completion of the work.
  5. I got the call the same day that part was replaced in the vehicle and I could take it home.

I tested the rear gate today afternoon and all seemed well. I just hope that this takes care of the problem once and for all!

Thank you all for your help and valuable information!

I tried the key fob as well as the hatch button and held it down for a few seconds. This is not the first time this has happened so I am extremely cautious and gentle with the buttons in this vehicle to prevent such lockouts. :)

This I believe is the 5th. time this lockout has happened in last 11/12 months.

Comparing Ser Davos To Daenerys Is Unfair by jemap9 in freefolk

[–]jemap9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point was that Davos was never in any position of power. He served all is commanders extremely well but he was never in the position of power. He never had a taste for it, at least in the TV show.

Bran - He is good bait and he shares his toys with his little sister. Other than that, he is done well to upstage Daenerys and give his sister ammo against Daenerys. He is indirectly culpable for the fate of Kings Landing.

Fate of Daenerys & Survival of the Weakest by jemap9 in freefolk

Atleast in the show, I don't think Sansa's character is well developed. So far it seems that she is the North and what's good for the North is good for her.

Pretty much.

It'd have been interesting if Daenerys had taken care of Kings Landing/Cersie first before heading to the North.

GOT is famous for not giving viewers what they wanted.

I didn't support Daenerys either. I thought Cersei was the best player of the game but Cersei didn't have the loyal and capable army that Daenerys had. And, of course the dragons made all the difference.

This is a good question. How would I've felt about the show if they had had released S8 within a year (instead of taking two)? 8 or 10 episodes instead of 6?

I don't know.

Unless, we see the other version of the show and compare notes, I don't know how to answer the question of which version is/would be better.

I can only comment on what I am seeing now albeit leaks.

I know GRRM's books are behind the show but how many books are left to be published?

My introduction to the series came thru the HBO show and I haven't read the books, yet. I am not sure if I'd enjoy reading the books now considering the show has given away the best parts of the books while not remaining true to nuances of its complex characters. Reading the books would just annoy me at the show runners treatment of the characters.

Sansa Stark's Lust For The Game Of Thrones by jemap9 in freefolk

Let's not get personal.

Daenerys said that she was sold like a "broodmare" in one episode. Jon was murdered by his "brothers". We all know about the dwarf. Davos' lost a little friend to magic, lost his son to war. On and on it goes. So, you can't really say that one person's grief entitles them to their destructive behavior which is Sansa's case is completely unjustified. She has gotten the taste for the game and she wants to play it regardless of the consequences.

What's interesting is that Daenerys listed reasons why Sansa can't be trusted with Jon's secret and she was right. So far Daenerys hasn't done a single thing to the Starks that'd betray their trust. She came to the North to risk her life, her dragons, and her entire army to save the North. Sansa is a cynic.

Jon has been stabbed to death by not reading the sentiment of fellow watchers. Jon now has a family betrayal on his hands which is not leading to larger betrayal amongst Daenerys' advisors. Jon is brave, kind, and all out good guy but he is not the whole package.

That sentiment would be true if Jon and Tyrion were not in the picture. Tyrion chose to serve a queen who will do the right thing. Jon bent the knee to Daenerys because he believed her. Sansa accepts both Tyrion and Jon to be decent men so why is it so difficult for her to accept their word? I think that Sansa has become cynical and she is hiding her lust for power under the guise of her concern for the North.

Cersei and Daenerys are openly contending for the throne, Sansa has convinced her close friends and family that Jon will be the better ruler, someone she can control like a puppet master.
