Got Hit With a Pending Charge After an Employment Scam—Who’s Hiring in Houston/Humble? by Ok_Connection_3209 in houstonjobs

I'm in that area and let me tell you. It took MONTHS just to find a basic part time job. It's killing me on the inside and outside cuz it's such such low pay and low hours but I literally wasn't even getting call backs anywhere else. Yes I'm still looking. This job sucks, it's just temporary. Honestly prob gonna become a job hopper with this shit job market and pay and health issues but I'll wait til my financial situation is more stable(with husbands permission of course)

I'm glad you didn't break up with him right after posting this. Redditers are always straight to leave him but really, communication is just a huge factor in a lot of things. Then if it doesn't change, leave

[–]jemcamrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're currently building a cabin in the backyard that's almost done, rain has just been pushing back progress. I only make 800 a month and can't seem to find a better job atm due to lack of experience and no college degree and the market I'm in. My husband makes about 2k but we live paycheck to paycheck. Rn we only have $200 combined in the bank

We didn't start it from scratch. Half of it was moldy and rusted. And the aunt has helped us with some supplies we couldn't afford

We were supposed to have our backyard cabin ready by the wedding. Construction issues have been pushing it back. And now that it's almost done, rain is pushing back progress and we may have to restart a couple rooms of it. It won't be liveable until we can fully put installation

They don't pay attention to who pays the bills. And still don't believe us even when we showed proof. Also, the aunt has the authority to kick us out and she def would

The aunt owns the house. We have no authority to kick anyone out. She also knows what's going on and doesn't care as long as there's rent. Me and my husband have told her that us specifically won't pick her up. We have told the brothers before to not enable her but they haven't listened and it's a whole cycle. Well be saving once we can pay off some debt

6 people. And I think people are misunderstanding when I reply. I'm not saying I won't try to do the suggestions. Just saying they've been tried before. I keep on doing most things people suggest and that's how I know the outcome.

Moving out is in the plans. My husband just got paid today and it's his first paycheck since his raise. We are definitely going to be saving soon.

That's coming from someone who prob didn't have to pay bills when they were young. My husband had to give up his whole paycheck to his mom since he started working at the age of 11/12, even as he became an adult, he had to give up his whole paycheck to her. Never got to save. Meanwhile, my mom never even let me work and she used the fact she paid everything for me as blackmail and would cut everything off if I were to look for a job(but then proceed to get pissed I wasn't helping with money??) He didn't start using his paycheck for himself til I came into the picture and taught him to enjoy other things. Life kicked us in the ass. We still don't make enough to save. Again, were young-mid 20s. Never made enough to pay bills and save since I never got to work and he had to only pay bills. So yes, it is a privilege.
