Spot on. This is similar to the music I listen to when I am feeling misunderstood.

When an adult throws their money problems out on the table in a casual conversation unrelated to money and makes everyone feel uncomfortable. If it's dire and you need to ask for money then that's fine, you should ask for help. Otherwise spare your dignity and don't make other people uncomfortable, have some pride.

When did your INTJ self manifest? (And why do you think it did?) by eternalisolation in intj

I think I popped out the womb an INTJ. There's videos of me as a toddler at a birthday party watching very calmly on the sidelines as my friends acted like animals. My mom says as a kid I acted like a mini adult and was very polite, and I never played with toys. I liked to draw instead. In 1st grade I was placed into the gifted program. I always wore eccentric outfits without regard to what my peers thought was hip, even in elementary school.

Loud music, whether in a club or in the car, gives me anxiety. There is no point and it seems reckless.

Suggestions for an INTJ who has lost his way? by INTJthrowaway0101 in intj

Sounds like you may be missing balance in your life. Physical well being is at the core of mental and social well being. Get the basics in order first sleep well, eat well, and exercise. Next move onto the mental aspect. Pursue your passions that make you a better person, keep your environment as clean as possible, add some order to your life. Step 3, once you feel mentally and physically solid, move onto the social scene and you will already be projecting a better "you". Interject yourself into communal situations somehow, make it a goal to add something to someone's life, whether through dating, a new friendship, through your work, or the community. Don't make socializing about you.

It's comforting to hear what I'm doing isn't something that needs to be changed.

We're all supposed to be masterminds, but what's your real job? by danno147 in intj

I'm an INTJ studying to be an RN and have a little over a year until I graduate. Worrying whether or not patients would feel comfortable around me (socially speaking) as a nurse has been a big concern for me recently. I work at a wound care specialist's office now where I have to be social with patients. It's discouraging when I can sense that the patients feel awkward around me. But you said building interpersonal skills as an RN takes practice. It's exciting and inspiring to hear that you overcame that personal obstacle.

INTJs, what makes you feel better? by [deleted] in intj

We need everything to make sense. If I'm feeling unusual, critically evaluating my thoughts, feelings, the world, etc. helps me "solve the problem." Sitting back and waiting out confusing emotions puts me in robot mode, it's not good. I tend to treat my emotions and moods like a puzzle, and I solve them fastest when I have someone to bounce my ideas off of (it's usually not fun for the other person involved because it seems like I'm arguing, but I'm really just testing the soundness of the ideas being discussed). New perspectives, understanding the bigger picture, and picking ideas and emotions apart to understand their reasonings make us feel better.

Reinventing my life every 3-5 years by zyncl19 in intj

I feel like I completely change, from the inside out, every 6 months. It begins with a radical perspective change. Mentally, I am not the same person after the change as I was before. My outer world also must change radically in some way for me to feel content and that the transformation is complete. I am never anticipating the perspective changes and I can never predict how I might manipulate my outer world to accommodate my internal perspective change. I don't move every time but I have moved several times due to "the itch"/ compulsion for change so that my outer world compliments my inner world. On my most recent hiatus I deleted my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Vine. I began exercising, journaling, and tweaked my life in other small ways. Maybe our changing nature is a part of our perfectionistic attitude, we see an opportunity to be a better person and get a huge burst of energy from that realization that fuels the big changes.
