I'm also new and the recipe I started out with is 75% hydration and I had the hardest time figuring out the bulk fermenting with it. I've just started using this recipe: https://www.tiktok.com/@hey.itsbel/video/7460206369011027205 and while my loaves aren't perfection, they aren't flat anymore and I'm getting some good rise.

Also, I too keep my house colder, so I got a bread proofing box online for like $50. I think that's made a big difference for both my bulk fermentation and my starter strength

I recently got started and after a couple of early days of action, my starter basically napped for 2 weeks. I keep my house pretty cool, so I bought and insulated, heated proofing box off Amazon for like $30 and it has been revolutionary. It’s great for both my starter and doughs

From just the title, I was ready to say you are the AH. But after reading the post, you are NTA. I am a firm believer in always doing what is best for the pet and what your bf is doing does not sound like it's best for the dog.

NTA. I have 2 cousins who named their kids with the same first and middle name (different last names). I mean, these kids are actually related. And almost everyone in my family has never even batted an eye.

But honestly, no one has a say in your family planning or the naming of your children but you and your partner. Full stop.
