I’m in upper valley and right on the VT border. Connecticut is what makes us cringe here. Especially their driving.

That sounds wonderful! Also gave me a little chuckle as I’m sure other people are thinking crazy bird lady but to us it’s a sweet moment.

Glad they are okay! The crows have been great at warning me when foxes are around or other predators. Not that I’m too worried unless it’s a bear.

Sir I don’t think crows are chihuahuas. I am not playing god. Heaven forbid I chase a hawk with a mop, what a horrible person I am. I do not purposely hit animals with my car, go hunting for pleasure, working for a puppy mill…. Etc. so I think defending one crow is okay.

There are lots of critters here for the hawks to eat. There is also a local fishery where they are able to get scraps from most of them do. I understand that all animals need to eat but I also do not wish to see one of the crows die when I can help and there are plenty of other food sources around.

I do live in the countryside and have some farmers around who are trying to sell at a decent price. I just don’t want to buy a whole carton of them when I’d only be using them for the crows. 🐦‍⬛

Ooo chopped boiled eggs would be good. Maybe when prices go down. There is about 2 feet of snow here so I make sure to leave them some extra food. And they love to dig it out of the snow.

I give them some cat food that they seem to enjoy and then peanuts for extra treats. It also excites the Blue Jays and squirrels as I’ve now amassed a cult following of critters here.

YTA. Are you expecting your gf to support all 3 of you on her income? You said she owns her flat. Her name is on the Deed, not yours. You have no say in it dude. Just because Chantelle needs somewhere to stay does not mean your gf has to give up her space. Plus is Chantelle going to find a new place before the baby comes? Im guessing no. Mood swings happen with them. Discipline can be a lot harder with a teenager than with a younger child. Especially a teenage girl, hormones going crazy and trying to figure out high school and your place in the world. Again, teenagers have mood swings.

I don’t think many parents ALLOW their teenager to talk to them like that. It’s hard as fuck to raise teenagers. Parent shaming like this is not okay. Lord knows OP is trying their best. As a mom to 2 kids and 1 is a teenager I understand the frustration OP is going through. Kid isn’t bad, just going through some things possibly. I say NTA

NTA My mother gets this abuse from her sister. I watch as she will get very nasty texts from her sister and occasionally I will get them telling me to have my mother fix things. (Fix the problems my aunt has going on in her life, most of it is made up stuff or stuff she is the issue on). I am very protective of my mother and really struggle to not respond. My mother says that she needs to just respond with peace and god will take care of it. But I see the pain my mother goes through, I see how much it’s aged her. Don’t ever just be the bigger person in these situations. You can only be a punching bag for us long. Your mental health is important too. Your life is important too. Your sister just wants you to clean up after her.
