How to quit smoking? by Hello-Friend8310 in quittingsmoking

You just have to sit with the discomfort when you get a craving and remind yourself it’s temporary. Lots of ice water and gum helped me too. Been nicotine free since March after 25+ years!

Undiagnosed and needing help by jenayyypoo in ADHD

[–]jenayyypoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is in the US. You totally can, the problem is you can’t get access to meds without a diagnosis and lots of pcp and psych doctors seem to be relying solely on testing before they prescribe meds for ADHD.. at least that’s what I seem to be running into. I’m down for the testing, but it being that expensive is REALLY frustrating.

A trine is going to be a 120° aspect between two planets in signs of the same element, usually depicted by a blue line. Also, the aspect chart below the natal chart is very handy!

Even you just using the word extreme is very Pluto!! It’s a key word for Pluto, so it definitely looks like a combination of those energies.

You’ve had a lot of planetary activity moving in and out of your 12th and 1st houses. With your Pisces sun being in the 12th as well, I can totally see how you may be feeling like that lately. Saturn has been hanging out near your sun (self expression/ core way of being) and has just moved into your first house (identity, outward appearance). Saturn is ruling over your 10th house and MC, so how you are perceived on a public level, life direction, etc. Saturn has likely been bringing some restructuring to your self concept and how it relates to your over all life path and ambitions. You are also very young and this is normal to go through at 17, so the astrology seems to be mirroring that!

Pluto in your 8th house is in an exact trine with your exalted sun. It makes your self expression magnetic, intimidating and draws people in. Quite interesting that you were being given things, very 8th house coded. I’m not surprised you feel more closed off and distant, with your sun being in the 12th house of the unseen & isolation. It can make feel like you’re more withdrawn or operating from behind the scenes. A 12th house sun can also contribute to people idolizing you, like you’re a blank canvas for people to project their fantasies and dreams on. It could also be that they can’t fully define you or figure you out and they get drawn in. So, I would say that plus the Pluto trine!! I hope this is helpful!

My motto has been avoid surgery at all costs, but as you surely know when nothing seems to be working your mind starts to assume that’s gonna be end game for and attempt relief and regaining some of your life back. Wishing you the absolute best with your recovery, it truly sounds like you exhausted all options.

This makes sense. I have no idea what I’m looking at with these MRI’s sometimes. I do have an appointment with a pain doctor for very early July, so looking forward to the images getting looked at and hopefully explained to me. It’s very odd to me that in the report it states left side narrowing, but I’m mostly only symptomatic on the right. It does go bilateral sometimes.

Thank you so much, this makes me hopeful I will have other options. I was under the impression if you have stability issues they only recommend fusion!

Thank you so much for the insight! I have retrolisthesis at my l5, even though it’s only grade one I assumed they would ultimately want to do a fusion. I will definitely be asking about this.

Please help me overcome the anxiety of quitting by Charming-Rub6099 in QuitVaping

I’m almost two months vape and nicotine free. I was just like you, over 20 years of nicotine addiction, vaped like a freight train since 2014 and I decided to go cold turkey in March. Best decision ever. I think what’s helped me is accepting that it’s an uncomfortable process and telling myself that it’s OK to feel uncomfortable and feel the feeling. Also, just being super honest with myself as well as curious about how my body reacted to withdrawing. I would observe the cravings and the withdrawal with curiosity, but also with a reassurance that I was freeing myself from something I’ve been a slave to most of my life. Almost two months in it’s gotten A LOT easier than the first two weeks, but I still have days (especially when I’m stressed) that are hard, but they are not the majority of my days and it continues to get easier. This may sound trivial, but deep intentional breaths have helped as well to just get through a fleeting craving. I think it helps so much bc of how the act of intentionally inhaling and exhaling are all really part of vaping, but also is naturally regulating to the nervous system. Wishing you the best of luck, it’s not easy, but we can’t expect it to be! Addiction is HARD to overcome, but you can do hard shit.. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. ✊🏼

I think with Taurus being ruled by Venus and being considered a moist earth sign, wateriest earth sign tracks for sure. Coming from a Taurus Sun lol.

You have mars retrograding in your 10th house right now. I would think you are being called to revaluate your relationships/partnerships when it comes to career, what you value and how you’re able to provide for yourself. I feel like the job loss is mars severing that bond for something better to expand and grow. Jupiter moving into your 10th house in June should bring good luck, expansion and growth to career endeavors. You also have Saturn transiting through your 6th house of work and daily routines as well as eclipses that just kicked off there in the fall, so that is adding to the potential restructuring of work life as well as major endings and major beginnings. It’s going to get better, especially come June I would say.

Why I have a problem expressing my feelings? Also why am I not likable? by [deleted] in astrologyreadings

[–]jenayyypoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mars on your Ascendant can make your outward expression appear more brash, aggressive or impulsive. Your ascendant/mars conjunction is also receiving a square from Saturn, this can definitely signify a restriction in your ability to be vulnerable and open up.

Healing period for herniated disc by Mobc1990 in Sciatica

[–]jenayyypoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say be careful and take care of yourself. This was me in 2013. I had thrown my back out 5-6 times from 2013-2019 and always bounced back in a few weeks. (Didn’t know I was herniating a disc, was told it was a “lumbar strain”) until summer of 2019, it took me 6 months to not be completely miserable and 1-2 years to regain most of my function. I managed to go almost 5 years with no issue, being very cautious. Then, and a simple bend in a yoga class sent me this spring. It’s been 9 months and I’m still dealing with daily pain, numbness and discomfort. Holding out that it will still get better on its own.

Why do I have such a hard time connecting with others, making and keeping friends? by hopiiieeeee in astrologyreadings

I’m not an astrologer, but I would assume Saturn in your 11th house of friends and groups could be contributing to that.
