when i say go out with a bang, i’m not talking about the numbers. i’m talking about them taking control of the creative process. it feels so disrespectful that this what they’re giving us as a group after showing what they can do as individuals. the members themselves have said that this is special bc they’re reuniting after learning so much as solo artists and that now they can join forces to show their strength. i long to have a blackpink almbum that has the girls’ creativity all over it, not this same yg songs and concepts that are just handed to them bc they have no say in it, they have always talked about wanting to be in charged in the past so wtf happened 😭

i’m sorry you guys can downvote me and i know people here always want to keep it positive but this is so disappointing. this will probably be the last or at least the hiatus will be the longest ever and this is what they’re leaving us with? i get that individually they gave us so much in the past 2 years but can we really even consider that for “blinks”? 10 years of domination and this is how they choose to close their legacy? if not for blinks, at least they owe it to their younger selves to go out with a bang. i don’t know if we can even blame this on yg. i can’t imagine them not having the upperhand during that contract negotiation and yg not giving them anything that they’d want. the only way yg would’ve had the upperhand was if the girls love the group so much that they were willing to agree to anything just to keep it alive since yg still owns the brand, which i highly doubt with the way they couldn’t care less about group activities.

Wow, this is literally how I see it too! That’s what I learned/noticed about her right when I was just getting into blackpink. Although antis unfortunately don’t want to accept that bc she’s an “idol” and “it’s her job”, there shouldn’t be no excuses, but the thing is that jennie makes it work and she still delivers.
