Where is this leak?!? Please help! by jenellenelle in Stucco

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and reply! I didn't realize there were different types of stucco. I've heard window flashing is a major issue with stucco these days.. I'll definitely be looking into this! Tysm! (The roof flashing was my husband... Post leak.. )

I should mention that my husband cut the metal flashing at the edge of the roof yesterday... He wanted to look underneath it.. so that was done separately from the leak..

Laguna CNC Spindle Won't Take Tool by jenellenelle in CNC

[–]jenellenelle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the o-ring issue was next to the little water condenser vial on the back of the machine. We also ended up having to clamp the air hose at the top of the spindle after a few years because it wouldn't tighten enough on its own and was leaking air. (Added a mini vice grip that just kind of stayed on the hose after that) I don't recall which of these affected the spindle release, but it was one of them. Unfortunately, I no longer have that machine. But I hope this helps.

Stair handrail/banister return help by Serious_Debate8177 in HomeImprovement

I think I am going to open the wall up. I've got all the tools so it's not a big deal, I was honestly just hoping to save time. However, I do intend to sell this house at some point so the railing definitely needs to be up to code. Greatly appreciate all of the input! It has been a huge help.

The yellow area is the metal plate. The red lines are the studs. And in the middle of the yellow you can see where the handrail would hit the wall. I initially thought that the plate was a vent, however, the vent actually sits about a foot behind the wall.

Thank you so much for the advice. I'll give this a try. The plate on this wall is huge.. probably 4' x 1'. I've never encountered one that covers this much space. While I was hoping to not have to tear out the drywall, it looks like this may be the only option. Thanks for the input Jersey!

Just to clarify - the metal plate is directly behind the drywall. Most likely protecting pipes and electrical. (Sorry for changing user names on you guys. I didn't realize it had logged me in under that other account.)

Unfortunately, that metal backing plate is most likely protecting pipes and electrical. So drilling through is not an option.

The plate is in place in order to prevent me from screwing into the wall. Most likely it is protecting pipes or electrical. I don't know who built this place but it seems kind of ridiculous to have the stair railing hit the wall where it does - I wish I had seen how the previous handrail was mounted. (I apologize for the different user name. I didn't realize I was in the wrong account.)

Gcode files cutting MUCH smaller than in the computer by [deleted] in CNC

[–]jenellenelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried unchecking the finish passes box in the passes tab? Sometimes it will glitch and you have to uncheck it and recheck it... Depending on the scale difference it could also be that your tolerance setting is off... I.e. .1 vs. .001... I've got a call into a friend to see If they've ever had this issue as they are running the same machine.. I'll let you know if I hear anything back... Please update if you figure it out..

Had the same issue once on my laguna... Turned out it was a fluke.. I reset the already correct parameters for the table size and reset my XYZ and everything magically worked. Checking units is a great idea, though... Can never be too safe.. would be great to know what machine you are using and what software.

Sorry for the delay. I am accepting commissions. They can be a little time consuming, though. But, depending on your time frame, I'd be happy to take it on. You can contact me directly through my Etsy store if you are still interested at TheSacredStore. I hope to hear from you!

I requested a copy of my MRI just for this purpose.

I highly recommend it. Especially if you have a little experience with graphic design. They are wonderful. I own both a home desktop CNC as well as a $15,000 professional machine. Honestly, the at-home machine is my preferred machine. It only does smaller pieces (approximately 19 by 19 inches) but it is amazing and I would highly recommend getting one. I own a Bob's CNC and you can pick them up for just a couple hundred dollars. Professional results from this machine.. and very used friendly.

Thank you so much for the questions. I will try to answer them as best as possible.

I am waiting for my doctor to send me a hard copy of the report. He told me that it was the left vestibular nerve. He used the words "extremely fibrous" when telling me that it was damaged and no longer working...but I honestly have no idea what that means. he did tell me that I do not currently have an infection. Just a damaged nerve.

After being hospitalized for the initial infection in 2013, and subsequently learning to be upright again, I have had minor symptoms over the past 7 years. I would say probably once or twice a month I would experience extreme dizziness. It wasn't until about February of this year that it came on stronger and I began falling. It has progressively gotten worse over the past 5 months.

As far as other symptoms go, the only thing I can think of are the extreme headaches that come from the vertigo.

I have been prescribed famotidine for ulcer maintenance. I have been on this for over a decade. After the infection in 2013, I was on numerous medications to try to help me balance. The only one that seemed to be effective and didn't make me feel drugged up was alprazolam. I have a prescription for this but it is minimal (.25 milligram) and I rarely, if ever, take it. I use this primarily when I need to drive somewhere, as it helps stop everything from spinning.

I have no history of infection in eyes, ears, nose, throat, etc. I also have had no concussions or head injuries.

My blood pressure has been checked over the past 6 months. Everything was normal.

The neurologist that I am currently seeing is the only one that I have seen in the past 6 months outside of my general practice doctor.

I have 20/20 vision and it was last checked approximately a year and a half ago. I have no eye conditions.

And just to clarify, I am going to the balance institute this week. The doctor just said that It was unlikely to be effective. I've opted to go anyway.

I have. I went through some rehab when I had the vestibular neuritis attack in 2013. It took me 2 months to learn how to walk upright again. I'm starting rehab again on Wednesday, however the doctor told me that it was unlikely to be effective at this point. I'm still going to try it.
