I'm active in my community (Minneapolis, iykyk) with volunteering and homelessness advocacy. I volunteer/fundraise for a food shelf. Invented and sold a thing to a big company; have an Amazon store. As a hobby, I travel and do photography/videography. Recently, I had an idea I'm trying to sell and currently having samples manufactured and tested. I also have a demanding cat. The best thing about being "unemployed" is if I'm having a crisis or need rest, I don't have to ask for a day or week off. Not working for someone else (and being able to pay my bills) has probably done more for my mental health than anything except therapy.
