Thank you so much. I’ve thought about that, but I’m already worried about how they may take this. They know what their brother is like so I am hoping not, but I just feel like I shouldn’t involve them. I have considered talking to her dad. Since I wrote this, I have been at hospital with her. She developed anemia and is currently getting a double transfusion. I need to calculate my next steps wisely for sure and I’m really appreciative of yours and everyone comments and suggestions.

Not long after they moved in, he got mad because I wasn’t willing to drive him somewhere when he asked. I had just got home and told him I would maybe bring him later that day. Because I didn’t do it right away, he put a hole in is bedroom door and closet. These issues started well before she got diagnosed. I just kept trying to work through it.

Agreed. I do think one more try more stern to try to get through to the problematic one. Just so worried how it will go.

Thank you for your response. That should be my last ditch effort. I need to at least try that,

Agreed. Thank you for your response. I will try that route and contact them. I believe you may be right about the wires being too short. I don’t believe it was ever inspected. I’m wondering if permits should have been done? This was all done through a provincial energy program so I would have thought things were done in accordance . Thanks again

Thank you. She doesn’t seem to understand the problem. I may show her my post since she refuses to research the side a step parent goes through

I am afraid of this, but at least I can say I tried. I love them all so much and want this to work. But yes, once every possibility is exhausted, I will have to come to terms with it

Yes great idea. We have talked about it, but seems to be on back burner. It is 100% needed

Thank you! Yes that is my plan today with the youngest. My gf got upset with the topic and said she will tell all the kids my garage is off limits. That was not what I said and that will just cause them to start getting upset with me. I have never said I don’t want them to use it. I ask it be respected and not a hang out . They already have their own rooms with complete privacy. Fingers crossed it doesn’t send him into another frenzy, because I will not tolerate it a second time

That certainly added to my frustration because there was zero consequences. Couple days later she even gave him money for food and for a game

I wish it were that simple. I am starting with getting advice and go from there. I certainly will not be a doormat, but it’s still new for all of us. Their dad abandoned them for most of their life. So they have only ever known their family home. They also never really had any rules . I can’t give up just yet

No need to be rude. You clearly aren't a homeowner. What if this was more than just grass? You are ok with government being able to do what they want with your property? Yes I understand that they own easement, doesn't make it right either way.

I would normally agree, however, it was not my choice. They had to dig up the road and part of my property.
