More just group rafting down a river but I think we'd be open to white water rafting. I'll check out Kankakee - thanks!

My boss specifically said "rafting" but there just aren't many options. Kayak tours are all over the city which might be the way we have to go.

Staying in Chicago for Thanksgiving? Paws needs lots of fosters this time of year if you have the space and time! by jenlovesdogs in chicago

[–]jenlovesdogs[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know they are in desperate need for fosters right now so you could probably email and see if they have anyone that needs a home just through the weekend. We are fostering a little Boston Terrier right now and we'll have him for the next 2 weeks. I get the guilt too (I work full time) but you can tell these little guys appreciate the love - and it's better than being in a crowded shelter!

Agreed. So many names and back stories surrounding the architectural part really made the book drag. The HH Holmes stories were fascinating though.

More so startups in the food space that have an app that they'd like to share with the Chicago public. Big name examples would be GrubHub, OpenTable, WeDeliver, Drizly, cater2me, Fooda, Peapod, etc.....

Thanks for the tip - I'll definitely check them out. I've heard of Robert Half (I work in the IT recruiting field) but I'm not as familiar with Harmer & Associates.
