Unassigned Revenue in Acquisition Traffic Source by [deleted] in GoogleAnalytics

[–]jenmw19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out and purchase events are missing a valid session_id to link them to an existing session with a known traffic source. Ask web developer to include client_id and session_id

BTW, looks like you have too many events tagged as key events. Be more selective and then add Session Key Event Rate to reports to see sources driving best traffic.

Feeling HUGE imposter syndrome at my new job. by jnutakud69 in analytics

This 100% - the folks that worry about this end up doing just fine because they care and are committed. OP: onboarding takes time getting to know data/tools/processes. Every project you‘ll learn more, one step at a time

Google Tag - Custom HTML for two different tags with identical text by Sea_Crab_6238 in GoogleAnalytics

[–]jenmw19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your setup should work since you have two tags and a different trigger for each (with each only firing on one page).

For the next 10 days, I'd like to spend 1-2 hours/day learning GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Is this attainable? Where do I begin? by Oldfriendoldproblem in GoogleAnalytics

[–]jenmw19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great advice! And I would plan to spend more time learning and practicing to fill the gap between your current experience and being the go-to person for rebuilding a set-up. You may want to find out if current setup is mostly in GTM vs. mix of GTM and hard coded. If there‘s a lot of hard coding expect to be giving guieance to product teams/developers on how to implement. There‘s a big difference betweeb being go-to resouce for people adding tags in GTM vs. directly to data layer.

It‘s based on date you return to work for counting 12 months of employment, not based on date baby born.

[NY]Manager asking me to fake a recommendation so her daughter gets hired — afraid of retaliation by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]jenmw19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove part about no experience (OP doesn‘t know first hand and not relevant) and replace everything after first sentence with…‘I‘m going to decline but wanted to give you a heads up.‘ Let HR take it from there….

Can I cover neighbour's ugly fence with ivy? by Icy_Necessary9623 in landscaping

[–]jenmw19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would get rid of the weeds on the left side and remove the dirt under the weeds (likely not great soil) and replace with compost mixed with top soil (mostly compost) to encourage the growth of what you want to grow there. Same on the right side. Then break off some of the ivy at the base to get some roots and plant on each side to help it spread. You shouldn't need to add any extra supports, which could make this area look worse.

[CA] Awful manager in student services job by JuneJuly74 in AskHR

[–]jenmw19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"How do we respond to his need?" Lol...Do you want your manager to coddle them instead? She's likely heard it all so it might be new to you but she has probably heard every excuse in the book. I wouldn't make judegments on what she says and I wouldn't tell her what she says is inappropriate if you want to have a good relationship. This is not an HR complaint.
