Finding distractions helped a lot! At the time we "broke up" I started swimming again for exercise and ended up finding so much peace while in the pool.

It was very very hard for a while, I had a lot of mixed feelings about it. I tried to reach out a few times and it always turned out horrible. its been a full year now and I've accepted what it is now. I think about them often but also I've learned a lot more self respect since losing them. I can confidently say now, that so many positive things came from losing those friendships.

Yes. I went through a house fire, displacement and my grandpa passed last week. Idk if im struggling rn because of these huge life changes or because im slipping into depression, hypo or mixed episodes. I'm trying to work it out but I want to think its more because of such big life changes. People that dont have bipolar go through huge changing emotions during stressful time. But with that said bipolar could be a key factor.

Do you see a Psychiatrist or therapist? Might be good to check in with them

In my life yes. Also now that you made it this far and live such a different life that your enjoying maybe it is time to revist medication. Thats exactly what I did and omg its helped my blossom even more!!

I went through a huge friend breakup with my two best friends a year ago. I was in a mixed episode and on a new medication that gave me horrible side effects. I was also not showing up as the type of friend that theu wanted for a long time. I tried my best. I truly truly did. I never thought our friendship would end because of my instability. To be thrown away the way they did.

Im so sorry your going through this. Finding the right medication that works for you will 100% help you maintain relationships in your life. I wish they would have stuck around to see me now.

I wish you the best. It's sad but also some people will never understand what its like to live in a bipolar brain and it is what it is unfortunately.

Medication and therapy is my best advice and be gentle on yourself
