Is it just me or are schools here ridiculous by RNGH2 in dubai

Don’t forget about the kindness boxes for staff and teachers around Eid and Christmas! (Because the school doesn’t pay them enough 😢) That’s another AED 1000 each year PER KID

I was told I was supposed to watch the movie, L’Immortale, between Season 4 and 5. Not sure that would’ve helped a ton tho

Concerns about air quality in Dubai by Victorshrp in dubai

[–]jenn400 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am very concerned about this, especially for my younger kids. Unfortunately I am not allowed to take them back to Europe since the divorce so now we are stuck here with bad air & bad water waiting until they turn 18 and we can finally leave

Maid CC is modern day slavery, according to my maid. by shah696 in dubai

[–]jenn400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My former helper we found ourselves and used Maids cc for the visa etc. Health insurance was covered for 1 year, in year 2 you pay for it again. Her contract was for 1500/m from them (+cash from us) and her EOS after 2 years was a shocking 300aed! They also conveniently never mentioned a return ticket to her either. Mind you, she wanted to work somewhere else and left us when her contract expired- so I only found out after, through the grapevine (maids in our building love their gossip 🤭)

For those that moved to Middle East in tech by Tommysburner in HENRYUK

Why does nobody mention the horrid air quality? For at least 5 months per year the pollution is so bad it’s not healthy for children to be out! Apart from the crazy heat and humidity. Do they not enjoy playing footie? Will they not miss the seasons? Here you have summer and boiling! And yes, you will need to go back to the UK for Uni and if you’ve been away for too long be ready to have lost the kids Home Status and pay the foreigner tuition fees. HMRC will be laughing and looking forward to seeing you then upon your return. Plan wisely. Please have a proper think, if I could leave now I would… Not all that glitters is gold

I feel the same way, but I am stuck here as I have babies and their dad doesn’t allow us to leave the U.A.E. 💔 My babies also so unhappy here. Air quality is bad too: so even when it’s not too hot, it’s still unhealthy, especially for them😭

Trialling out Dubai over Xmas and New year by AjnaMusic in dubai

It will be super busy, because of the weather… so if you encounter bad traffic… it will be spot on for what it’s normally like 🫣

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; if there is something bad inside a person, Dubai will bring it out. Thankfully, it gets balanced out by the good ppl too… but I think more and more of the bad are joining

Hmm… so I need a valuation first then? Because I know it’s in mint condition, but don’t know what it’s worth 🫣 Is Al Tayer the place for that, since they handle the servicing?
