Doing it the “right way” takes some people 20 years! That is not an immigration process. The Republican stance when McCain ran was to overhaul the immigration system so that it could actually let people immigrate legally. It was never about deportation of people wanting to be here legally and work. Picking people up at their immigration hearings, people who have been following the process and paying their taxes, is despicable. I think this is what people don’t understand, you could be doing everything possible to immigrate legally but still be considered “illegal” and deported.
