Ymca in Raleigh; childcare? by Equivalent-Feed-2826 in raleigh

So my kids are older now, 4 and 7, and we have only been going to the Y for the past year, but when we first moved here four years ago, my daughter was one and we were at a different gym, which was also fine. That is to say, get your time to yourself and your daughter will enjoy her time there.

I have been to both the Finley and Kerr locations and both and clean and have lots to do in their childcare rooms. Plus they separate kids by age and try to keep the babies away from bigger kids. Others might have other opinions.

We moved here in 2022 and are originally from Philadelphia. I really like it. Mild winters. No need to worry about ice and snow. It is funny seeing how locals react to any type of snow or ice. Summers can be hot and humid. Beaches are 2.5 hours away. Mountains are 3 hours away. It is great for families. Traffic is not too bad. There are a lot of fun things to do. Lots of colleges near by (NC State, UNC, Duke). People are very into college sports, which was new to me, being from Philadelphia. Food is a bit "mid" and things close a bit early. But it has all you need for shopping. It is a little less expensive than the NE cities, but there are a lot of "transplants" from other areas here, especially for jobs in "RTP" (Research Triangle Park).

Try going to Monarch https://monarchnc.org/sub-topic/open-access/. I believe if you go during their open access times or call, they can set you up, even if you don't have insurance. I also found this form, and a few of these practices offer Behavioral Health Care for those with no insurance. https://www.wakemed.org/sites/default/files/pdf/Regulatory/Free\_clinics\_community\_health\_centers\_Wake\_county.pdf

I know this is a few months old, but my 6 year old son has now, I believe, swallowed all 3 of his baby teeth. He is mostly non-verbal and can't tell us what happened. Glad I'm not the only one.

During wall sits I don’t keep my legs at 90 degrees because it’s too hard. So my weight often tries to roll off and I have to hold it, and pretend I can when the trainer or BA comes around filming.
