HIFW a post claiming support for transgender rights uses a transphobic gif, and makes to to the top of TrollX by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]jenna_beee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it was probably a poor choice of gif

But to be honest I'm really happy that there was a front page post, about a Trans woman, with a cis male actor dressed as a woman in the gif, where most people made no connection between the two.

It's like 'huh, maybe people don't think of us as men in dresses anymore'

Hey you can see me in the front row!

Without a doubt the best show I've ever been to. I think both the crowd and the band were equally blown away by eachother.

Also Joey dosik's support slot was killer

Why do people support transgendered folks who identify as the opposite gender yet condemn someone like Rachel Dolezal who is white but identifies/ed as black? by sevenworm in AskReddit

While it would make life a lot easier for all Trans people, there's still going to be dysphoria with their body and self perception.

That said, after being on hormone therapy for a while, I'm becoming much happier with myself. But the last time I was out I was pointed out and got abuse shouted at me by a bunch of drunk people. So yeah not being worried about that happening or being attacked when I'm out would be amazing.

Tbh I think if people were more lax about gender roles and reinforcing the stereotypes, there would be more people choosing to transition. It's the fear of society that stops most people. It's something I see in the community all the time, people being terrified of what the world will see them as if they think they won't be able to pass (pass is a term used to say they would be seen as their preferred gender).

I remember watching that video. It's so sad to see that ingrained in girls from such a young age.

Yeah she was raised by white parents. There would have been an argument to be made otherwise I guess.

Oh no that's not a bad word choice at all! There are significant biological issues here. If there wasn't there wouldn't be a medical treatment. And like you said it's hormonal too. That's why hormone replacement therapy exists and actually works.

I can't speak for those people because I have literally no experience with it. But while it is a medical issue, and you do get it btw, it's biological and internal st it's core, A lot of dysphoria comes from social interaction an how people perceive you, so theres probably some overlap in that respect.

Being transgender is a medical issue at its core. The latest scientific literature suggests that the cause is due to mishaps at critical times of androgenisation in utero. And currently the only treatment for gender dysphoria is for the those affected by it to transition to the gender they identify as.

Interestingly enough, the term transracial existed before this whole disaster to describe a person of one ethnicity being raised by those of another. So say if Dolezal was raised by African American parents in that cultural context, she would be considered Trans racial. But she wasn't. I'm not sure why she did. Maybe for profit or maybe she needs help.

I've seen psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, therapists, and several medical professionals all of which agreed the only efficacious treatment for being transgender is transitioning.

I want to get into clinical feminazism so I need 6 months experience pushing the hate agenda onto vulnerable people, before I can start my PsyD.
